I worked at a corrections facility for youth in Grand Junction, Colorado. We had young men transferred from Denver facilities, to us, that claimed Park Hill Bloods. It’s crazy seeing this video and seeing where some of these kids I had, grew up. People want to talk shit about what these boys are going through, but I can assure you that their trauma is real and the things they are seeing are real. I’ve sat through EMDR sessions with kids from the same set as some of these young men, and seeing them break down and fall apart is really eye opening. No guidance, getting direction from other gang members. If they live like this and they are going to prison or dying, who are we to make fun of them and call them fake? Instead we should be trying to inspire them to take a different path so that their kids don’t do the same shit they’re doing.
@vx7675 ай бұрын
Lotta Americans neva understood why people like this exist, so blind and ignorant, when a man gets desperate they go to extreme lengths and what these guys seen is nun compared to what these regulars live it's jus a way of living, it's still sad but thas how they play they cards

True but this is land of opportunity, they should take their education serious and work hard so they can get out of those places. Not just gang bang all day, plus they dnt have to hang with the wrong crowd everyday but they choose to.
@michael445445 ай бұрын
Those are solid points and youre right. The only trouble I see is them wanting to make a change. Honestly if it were me in that same situation, I probably wouldnt change much either. At that point you start to see the world differently and its hard to break out of that familiar routine (street life). There would have to be an epiphany or vision they would have where they saw some career or goal like owning a business or pursuing a hobby and they actually felt like the life theyre currently living is in conflict with their future and change was absolutely needed. In short, the desire to get out has to be very great and enough to keep pursuing a different path.
@killkrys4 ай бұрын
This was well said and I appreciate you sharing this cause i get told all the time that colorado doesn’t have real gangs its nice to know there are people out there to guide them and help them i just think the privileged just don’t acknowledge them and that’s what’s sad. :/

Every state has its gangs, every state has its areas “to avoid “ but coming from Houston, driving with my windows down, in some of the areas people say to avoid at all costs, it is an eye opener and when you see KZbinrs like Tommy G and Brandon Buckingham, going into those places, it’s amazing because there are so many kids,, exposed to situations they should not be exposed to, but have no choice. I’m very lucky I grew up in a neighborhood where I was shielded from those committing such acts. I never realized it until I was in my last 2 years of high school. 9/10 times, they needed that helped hand.. you can ALWAYS see through those who truly want the help, compared to those who don’t. I have worked in corrections myself, my man is a CO, my mom and her fiance are COs as well. I will tell you this, most of your problems are NOT with the inmates, your issues are with the other Corrections officers. I have seen kids I grew up with in federal prisons for severe charges, with no helping hand in life, and those started out rough with records, spending time in juvenile detention centers due to NO guidance, come out strong due to those in the hood guiding us. It’s refreshing to me, because thw guy was right to an extent. You can put a kid in a very supportive environment, but it’s up to them, and the main thing I have noticed as well, is if they feel SAFE, that they have people they can lean on that is going to openly honestly no matter how they feel about it

The lure of the street life, and not feeling like they fit in at school, lack of support by there peers is a big hurdle for these youth is hard to overcome. I keep trying, praying and continue to build rapport with all the youth I come across because I was once a youth from these streets and still thrive in my neighborhood. A-TOWN! GOD bless!
