I wasn't going to make a video about this, but decided that this should be shared by as many people as possible because of all of the issues this situation presents. COMMENT your thoughts below! Do you agree with the bride? Agree with the makeup artist?

Hi! New subscriber ♥️. It’s so true what you said about personal preference. I started my career in film at 19 years old. My very first mentor was a very well known makeup artist that really took me under her wing and said to me “not everyone will love your work. But if you always do your job to the very best of your ability and be professional, take pride in that” it was something that really stuck with me. Working with actors and creating characters can sometimes lead to them feeling insecure if it’s not a beauty look. I love your channel.

To add to the scandal, she used water to wash off her makeup and then uses a cotton pad aggressively on her face and not a cleansing balm or oil 😬 If this is her routine, her skin will be damaged in no time.

When I saw that TikTok I was SHOCKED. I can't believe someone would go out of their way to post that video 5 MONTHS AFTER their wedding, discrediting the makeup artist and just being such a mean girl. I can't IMAGINE being the mua and seeing one of my clients post a video like that. My heart truly broke for her! The "I can't wait to make a TikTok about this..." is what really got me. I truly think she liked her makeup, but she just wanted an opportunity to go viral and get some clout. Had she not liked her makeup, I feel like she would have said something at her trial AND her wedding day. I think she is just a mean girl and used her own wedding to get content to go viral. SICK

As a hair and makeup artist, I absolutely agree with everything you said. You made some awesome points. There is nothing worse than someone not liking their look but not saying anything until after. It gives no time for a makeup artist to fix things.

I don't think the bride did feel bad. If you are that pressed for time and panicked to redo your makeup yet you've got someone filming it? WTF. You are about to walk down the aisle and you make it a priority to film washing your face and applying makeup? Ugh

She tagged the makeup artist on Instagram and her Instagram is the only thing linked in her bio😭😭everyone knew who the artist and it was so much for not wanting to hurt her when she tagged her and she posted her after 6 months!! It really looked like she did it for clout not caring who she hurts.

I can never thank my wedding day MUA enough. My hair stylist put a big burn across the middle if my cheek with a curling rod. Went to my makeup appointment immediately after. That women was so reaasuring and calm. I don't wear makeup on a daily, let alone weekly basis. I would have had no idea how to fix my face, let alone blend a burn.

It seems like the Makeup Artist did nothing wrong here, and the bride - well, if she didn't like the makeup, there's nothing wrong there. I agree with the makeup artist (I am also an MUA) that sometimes people will tell you they like something but you can tell from the body language etc. that they don't. It's the bride's loss of money and time. BUT what I hate is that it seems nowadays that every time people have a problem with a service they just post it online instead of first trying to solve the issue with the person personally. I completely agree with you - not everything has to be content. I think the bride was too happy to create drama online and will sacrifice the reputation of the MUA (and her own wedding day) to do so.

As someone who is starting their Makeup Artist business this year it really opened my eyes that everything is not peaches and cream the way people think. Honestly, I’d just not charge her the remaining payment since she wasn’t happy with my services BUT the bad mouthing? GIRL I’m getting a Lawyer sis 😂💅🏽

Nope, get your money. Some people complain just to get a discount or not pay. Manipulation, That's what a trial is for to make changes, also take pictures of your work

I would not bash someone that I payed for a service that I had a trial before one of my most important event. I would tell them since day one. It’s mean girlll. I would be embarrassed to post a video😂

After seeing that video I added a clause stating this situation in my contract BECAUSE I almost had a similar situation 🥲 a bride told me she didn’t like her makeup DAYS afterwards and told me to delete her pics of my IG (she said the makeup was too natural, but when I asked her on her wedding day, what she wanted to change from the trial session , she told me that it felt too heavy?!!?😪 of course I told her that I’m very upset that she didn’t tell me that same day after I repeatedly asked her if she loved everything! I felt so horrible. My thought is that she was too much in a rush to get out of my chair the day of and didn’t feel comfortable enough to tell me the small changes she wanted to do… Unfortunately there will always be those clients who are unhappy with anything you do on them. On the bright side of things, I learned a lot from this experience!

Oooof! I'm so sorry this happened to you 😖, sounds like an awful interaction 😢 I also like to learn not only from my own but also other people's experiences. What kind of clause did you add to your bridal contracts regarding these type of situation? 🤔 In advance, thank you for sharing!

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you Giselle :( I can't image how that felt in the moment, but I'm sure that you handled it the best that you could at the time like a professional. It's sad when things like this happen, but at least 99.9% of our clients are fantastic!
@GiselleRamirez716 күн бұрын
@@Diana_D_Z of course! let me share with you what I put! I actually found it through another mua who also wanted to share other muas how to prevent these situations from happening, -If Client or anyone from the party removes or changes their makeup after it has been completed by the Makeup Artist without first communicating their dissatisfaction and allowing the Artist the opportunity to address their concerns, the Artist will not be held reliable or responsible for correcting or fixing the resulting appearance. The Client understands that any modifications made independently may impact the final look and any additional corrections requested afterward will be subject to the artist's availability and may incur additional charges.

You did a great job looking at both sides, something most people weren't willing to do. Your advice in the end is priceless: don't feel obliged to stay with a make-up artist if you don't like the trial. I hated the trial I did for my wedding and didn't feel it would be productive going over everything I didn't like with the artist. I ended up doing my own makeup and it was the best decision I could have made.

Makeup artist here as well. I’m more in the film world, so I’m used to actresses, and ohhhhh boy, I’ve had some doozies in my chair the past 30 years! (It’s funny… it’s never the super famous ones that are difficult). But I do weddings on occasion for people in production. I understand that it’s their day, and they should be happy, but this MUA was really lovely and in no way came across as one of those artists who get offended when you ask to change things. The bride was happy on her trial, so I don’t know what her deal is. She also had no right to put it all on blast like this. I know I’d be mortified. That’s putting your reputation at serious risk. I’ve worked on set with makeup artists who have done work the actor wasn’t happy with and have asked me to change it and even that feels awkward to me, and I try to steer them into talking to the artist to fix it, that they won’t be offended,… and it’s gone amazingly. It’s all about communication. I’m sorry, but I just can’t see the brides side in this because once she made it so public, I lost all sympathy for her. The artist did everything right. She did a trial, asked if she was happy, got positive feedback.. the bride wanted attention, period. Her friends also sounded like they were just coddling her.

I’m sorry but as someone who is clearly so picky and such an expert at makeup herself you would think she would have booked a trial or at least made sure to actually check out the artists work beforehand to make sure it was a good fit for BOTH parties. I understand needing to make adjustments (which her friend admitted they had MORE than enough time for) isn’t ideal, but the way she was so panicked and so negative immediately with so much time left doesn’t seem normal or authentic to me….Something about all of this doesn’t sit right. And the way her friends were enabling that just because it was her wedding day was kinda icky to me. Think about it, they offered to KICK THE ARTIST OUT before offering to work things out with the artist for her while she tends to other pre wedding activities, and came back later… You can calm someone down without coddling them and passively agreeing with everything they say…

Honestly, it's disgusting what this girl did. I would never act like that and try to ruin someone else just because I don't agree with their work. But to me is obvious that she just wants to be famous on social, people is really losing their mind with this thing. We do have mouth by the way honey, whatever you do not like of her work you could have just told her. Disgusting. She should be ashamed. But she's probabily too superficial to ever understand that.
