The ventilated drum brakes are very similar to those I designed for my Morris 8/Reliant special. The brake drum intake scoops can be made from thin aluminium and riveted together with small solid rivets. Don't forget to add a fine mesh or it will swallow a road stone and foul the brakes up. Love watching this. Your not far behind my build and catching up!

I really enjoyed this episode, like the mix of project stuff and shopping trips too. after my own heart too with running points. My Triumph 2000 had all the hallmarks of fuel starvation from shite in the tank. spent ages trying to fix it then conking out 10 miles down the road. in the end I ripped out the electronic ignition that a previous owner fitted, went back to points and she ran perfectly and has done since. now when people ask me about intermittent running issues the first thing I ask is the car on EI or points.

Good Lord this is Texas rad Brian every time I see you turn the carburetor upside down it gives me the fucking Willie's I was taught from the very first at when I started never invert a carburetor or turn it on its side unless you plan to rebuild it from the get-go because on some of these the metering balls and the metering rods on some of them like your hollies and q Jets you can actually fuck the carb up by inverting it if you do not plan to rebuild it it is just a pet peeve of mine it's like assholes and opinions we both have we all have both and they all fucking stink to somebody just FYI I still love your side and I am still in the hospital recovering from the broken neck and pinched spinal cord this is the 9th time in my life that I broke my fucking neck but this actually got into my spinal cord in this last surgery required a brain surgeon a neurologist he seems to have performed a miracle because I'm still here most people that go through what I have in the last 40 days don't make it

Soo, what will it weigh...? Well, a car is of no utility without a driver, so there's that. Now, I'm an SAE man; and at my age I'm not going to learn metric. There's not enough room left in my head. Now you chaps measure living weight in "stones", and if kilos aren't going to cut it, you start throwing stones at me and all I can do is duck and cover; I'm too damned old to run. So I'll pass on the contest and watch with increasing interest for the grand finale. I can't wait to hear that wee beastie purr!
