Autodesk Fusion 360 is the first and only integrated cloud CAD, CAM, CAE, & PCB software solution for designers, mechanical engineers, electronics engineers, & machinists. In 2022, we deployed over 14 major product releases in which we introduced over 200 new workflows and feature enhancements. In 2023, there is even more to come: added core design capabilities, a more personalized electronics experience, an increasingly robust manufacturing portfolio, and an expansion of cloud capabilities.

One thing Fusion 360 REALLY needs is GPU acceleration when rendering on the desktop. I get they want to force people to pay for cloud rendering, but I have a beast of a workstation that can render very quickly with other software, but Fusion remains (artificially) slow. The devs always avoid this question - likely due to orders from management. I also still use Eagle - which Autodesk bought, and then never bothered to update (well, they did, but each update made it slower, and less stable) to force people to use their cloud-based PCB design tool.

What are the costs going to be for the little guy who helped creat the software from its infancy. I understand needing to make money but what about the guy who uses it in his basement for 3d printing or the guy with the small CNC mill in hi garage are they going to be priced out of the software?

Great talk, but doesn't really give us much to go on other than the promise of "more and better" functionality. Don't forget to sweep up the things that are missing or not functioning best. There are many requests for fuctionality that have been languishing for years.

Great news and especially supporting the M-chips will be great. As well if you could split up the extension tools into affordable pieces would be great. And thank you you for the concept of the Fusion360 hobbyist version. Without this I would have never worked myself into CAD and now our company is one of your paying customers.

Just thought of something. How about a quick way to Show All bodies and components? Sometimes I draw and make a part then want to make it again in a complex design. I have to select and Unhide a bunch of bodies/components etc to find that little one body I drew for a fix or a test modification which worked and I need another one. Make sense?

Still waiting for. 1. Better performace while simulation CAM process. (Stock and machine visualization) 3/5 axis. 2. Faster calculation for toolpath's. Terrible while using big components. 3. Better performace while using STL files on CAM workspace.

Please keep your extension pricing down. I have a small business and can afford one F360 seat, but the machining extension is $1600 per year, which is over 3X the price of F360. That's a tough pill to swallow for us little guys.

It's still more than an order of magnitude cheaper than master cam. Cheaper CAM has been a market that gets more and more ripe for disruption as CNCs become ubiquitous. I think there will be other companies trying to get some of that market share.

We keep asking but it is not a cad and manufacturing integrated system when you can not output and iges file for a rotary laser cutter. We still have to convert it from iges to iges in solidworks to have it work in our laser. Apparently you have fixed it in Inventor, please fix it in Fusion!

The one thing that is tripping us up is a combined additive and subtractive CAM/post capability in 5 axis that allows multiple additive/subtractive levels in one program. A the major CAM packages seem to offer this but we get a negative reaction every time we ask about it for Fusion 360. You're missing the boat on this one and we are having to pursue other options.

How about integrating the free plugins for gear generation into the product. Adding a simple helix primitive. And a thread generation clearance offset for 3d printing. That'd all make me a happy camper.

Love that you are continuing to grow the product but I hope that you consider each tool as a standalone product and not integrate them too “seamlessly”. Way back when, WinZip was a very usable and useful product but in the effort to “grow value”, they added so many features that they buried the unzip process to the point where, for me, it is unusable. In short, don’t lose sight of the purpose of each element. You don’t want to end up with a huge amorphous blob.

@@mitsosskar3862 Not an ideal solution but the Feature CAM/Fusion 360 bundle will give you access to wireEDM. A lot of the tools seems to be plugging into fusion, such as Inventor, for cam and simulation. I would guess at some point we may see wireEDM in fusion but I doubt its a priority.

When are you going to prioritize fixing bugs? I posted a bug over 3 years ago on the forum and was told, by an Autodesk employee, since no one else mentioned it that I should not expect a fix any time soon. How about, fix all bugs in the order received.

Hello I'm not familiar with your specific issue so i'm unable to comment on that, but I apologize that you haven't had a resolution. We certainly do prioritize fixing bugs but we prioritize fixing what impacts the most people rather than in the order they are received.

@@ADSKGRoberts Honestly, your bug ticketing system is a complete joke. Bugs are accepted, then.... crickets. Hell, even when they are fixed, we are not informed, and if we contact support, even they don't know what it's status is - whether it will ever be fixed, or what. What happened to "closing the loop"? It's WIDE OPEN. And don't even get me started on the train wreck that is the constraints system. You guys need to get your priorities straight and fix this - how can such a fundamental building block be so horribly bug ridden?

Fusion needs to increase the resources of the PC. It should not take this long to create a cam toolpath. and my workstation has 64gig of ram and 24 cores. 10+ year old creo worked faster.

@@ScottMoyse Hi Scott! My biggest problem, is the UI - the browser disappears after any operation. It's forced me back to using the PC. However, performance is lacking too. I have a M1 Ultra with 128 gb ram, and my PC is a lowly 32 gb, Ryzen 1700, with SSD and 2080TI card. Performance and UI are much, much better on the PC. That said, I want to work on the Mac :( I hope 30% is enough,, but this has been a long time coming. I want to switch from Solidworks, but Fusion isn't there yet, for me at least (I know its not Mac native). Thinking about upgrading to better PC and selling the Mac, which I hate to do. But I can't afford 2 super computers.

@@ScottMoyse Hope i didn't across as to harsh - I like the program. On my intel Mac it worked great. But having a buggy UI, as you can imagine, gets tiring quickly - by that Ii meant literally the browser disappears - I have to keep one extra tab open, click on that, browser reappears until the next operation, whether sketch, modify, etc. I've tried the high dpi setting, on/off, etc.

Please review the "quality" "issues" on Macintosh OSX. The Fusion 360 application does not behave as a quality Macintosh program should-it continues to exhibit interface issues that harken back to the 90s that we overlook to get our job done. Oh, and one more thing: please stop the trend of charging for features previously included in the product at no extra cost, such as modal frequency sim. Thank you.

F1 doesn't work, but have you seen the 'i' icon on the bottom of most dialogs. The More information button which appears takes you to the help file. Otherwise the help menu, self guided tutorials and interactive learning panel are great resources.

Delete joints and replace with mates. No matter what you do with everything else, the concept of joints for assemblies is flawed, cumbersome, confusing, slow, etc.

If you find basic operations to lag, you may be using the software suboptimally. Start by reducing sketch complexity and relying more on patterning bodies and using features like Hole.

I am just waiting for the iges file output to be rrad by iur laser cutter. For the past 3 years i have had to convert in solidworks. Now that is a crap workflow!

I don't know what specific machine you have, but there are some laser Post processors in CAM that export dxf instead of gcode. What doesn't the iges export from Fusion do that your laser needs? Curious as I haven't heard this one before.

Please make updates optional. the last one had fusion not working for two weeks for me. Also a woodworkers version would be amazing. CAM in fusion is incredible but also way to complicated for basic woodworking needs, check out vetric, simple and quick ONE TIME PAYMENT. also doesn't require internet connection so you can put it on your CNC PC with confidence. I dont need to make a plywood cabinet and PCB while doing structural steel stress testing. Please cater to small businesses, and have cheaper packages. i have been paying for 4 years now, so yes i get the software's value, but it is like having to own a Ferrari that you may drive once a year but you use the Honda Civic 99% of the time.
