Great review! I’ve put ~500 miles on this bike, and I am super happy with it. Note about the “60 mile” range. Obviously a lot of factors are involved, but as a 6’ 200lb guy (190 in a good week), I’ve never gotten close to 60 miles. I average ~46 miles. Just something to keep in mind if you’re not a lightweight, or have hills where you live!

Thanks for the kind words. That's awesome you're enjoying the bike. No doubt a lot of factors go into the range. Thanks for taking the time to comment. :)

Thanks for the video! Any idea what a ballpark top speed is while pedaling with the bike off (zero assist)?
@mikerochester11 ай бұрын
I imagine you can go as fast as you can pedal. I have a bad knee so I'm unable to test that. :)

Thanks! Here's what AI says (after I stopped being lazy and looked it up haha) - To calculate the top speed of a bicycle with the given gearing and tire size, we can use a simple formula: Top Speed (in miles per hour) = (Crank Ring Teeth / Rear Cassette Teeth) * (Wheel Diameter * Pi) * (Gear Ratio) * (Cadence) First, let's calculate the gear ratio: Gear Ratio = Front Ring Teeth / Rear Cassette Teeth Gear Ratio = 48 / 12 = 4 Next, we need to calculate the effective wheel diameter. The stated tire size is 26 inches, but keep in mind that tire pressure and tread wear can affect the actual diameter. Let's assume an effective wheel diameter of 25.5 inches. Wheel Diameter = 25.5 inches Now, let's assume a cadence of 90 revolutions per minute (RPM), which is a reasonable average for an experienced cyclist. Cadence = 90 RPM Plugging these values into the formula, we get: Top Speed = (48 / 12) * (25.5 * Pi) * 4 * (90 / 60) Top Speed ≈ 28.3 mph Please note that this is a rough estimate, as there are other factors that can affect the actual top speed, such as aerodynamics, road conditions, rider strength, and bike weight. Additionally, this calculation assumes that the rider is pedaling at a consistent cadence and power output.@@mikerochester

Thanks for the review. I saw that you are 250lbs. I am 310lbs. Do you think it would pull me up a hill? What about expected realistic range for a 300+ guy
@mikerochester5 ай бұрын
I feel you will be fine. Up your PAS and put it in gear one. As far as range it depends heavily on what PAS your in. Throttle only will be much less. Feel free to use my link if you like.

Hi Mike. Looking at getting this bike. I’m 5’11 but shrinking do to older age. lol. Would you get a regular or large. I may want to put on a suspension seat post on. We have about the same build. I have read you could go either way on the size for my height. Unfortunately, I don’t have a place to go. Try them out. Would you recommend one size over the other? I’m looking to get a step through model.
@mikerochester6 ай бұрын
Personally I like the large frame especially because it's a step through and you don't have to throw your leg over the back of the bike. I don't like to feel real big on a bike. I also think you'll be happy regardless of what size you get I don't think there's a huge difference between the two. If you decide to purchase one feel free to use my affiliate link. :) 🙂🙂🙂
