I'm glad we got the A-12 story! Between that and the SR-71, those are my favorite air craft ever made. I remember when I first saw the Blackbird at the Air Force Museum in Ohio, I was taken aback at how small it was.

Been to Intrepid as part of the errand of getting my parents to their cruise ship departure in adjacent slip (pre 9-11). As an Army artillery guy I have always considered historical artifacts "so long by so wide" judged by the width of my outstretched arms. What always amazed me on the "I" was not the planes on deck but the engineering and architecture down below. All those pipes labeled "steam in this direction" and ladders side by side labeled "Up" and "Down".

Concorde isn't the only SST (supersonic transport aircraft), there was also Tu-144 and it flew before Concorde.

My brother was a radio operator on the Intrepid from 60 to 62. He had a lot of interesting stories. He always wanted to come to NY to see it again. Sadly his pancreas said no.

The Concorde was not the only supersonic airliner. It was beaten to that by the Tupolev Tu-144.

The Tu-144 did not fly before Concorde and crashed at a Paris Airshow which was the last time it was ever seen

I like airplanes, im a pilot of airplane radio control, drones, etc. Its the same control but in small scale. I went inside de Concorde.

I saw a video report on VICE where they went to N.Korea and they had that ship there. They tell amazing false stories about how it attacked glorious nation and we take their ship.
