Yup. It's heart-achingly nostalgic for me as well. I was rounding the corner at university and really unsure of what to do. I should have listened to this song.

I can feel the sand in my toes, watching the ocean waves, listening to B-52's on a Transistor Radio, the Sun's heat against your skin... the scent of coconut Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil... the ice in the glass shifts and chills my lips... ahh... Paradise! :-)

Just heard this on an eclectic station here in Dallas, never would have guessed it was the B-52's. Shazam took a long time finding it! Great instrumental, always loved the B-52's.

When I feel I can't handle the weight of life on my shoulders, my heart can't handle my past and present regrets, the moments of when I just wish it would all end all I have to do is listen to this masterpiece and I get this soothing and refreshing sense of revitalization in my soul. I feel that I am not alone in this cruel world and I'm a strong person. Never be bitter about what trials you had and will face. Learn from your mistakes. Those moments make you wise and better prepare you for anything that will come your way good or bad. Thank you so much B52s for such a powerful instrumental piece.

Really, you hear B.Wilson? F.Y.B. is more rhythmic than I would associate with a Wilson composition BUT the instrumentation and harmony...I hear ya.
@scatteredfrog3 жыл бұрын
Yep. It's basically the two instrumentals from Pet Sounds -- "Let's Go Away For Awhile" and "Pet Sounds" -- merged into one.

Thanks so much for this song... I wonder if someone knows the context of the composition? This song arrived in my life in a very important moment when I had to realise that it's so simple... Just follow your bliss. Months afterwards I knew about Joseph Campbell's work and everything then made sense...
