Tbh there's two ways to do Worldbuilding 1-You can do serious Worldbuilding, Where you do your best to make it all make sense and make sure there's no *major* holes or nasty implications (you can't realistically make a world without any of these at all, but as long as there's no big, really noticeable ones it's fine) 2-You can do the Pinocchio approach and make your world make so little sense that you're basically telling the audience "Don't think about it, focus on the plot and characters" Like, in this film a shark stole the Mona Lisa *dressed* as the Mona Lisa

@@koshavinka2995 Honestly, I don't think Pinocchio is THAT weird? The main thing that pushes it over the edge is the anthropomorphic cricket, fox & cat. And, okay, fair enough - that's never elaborated upon. But outside of that you just have humans, magic and a pretty normal whale. 1. Humans exist. 2. Magic exists. Blue Fairy uses magic to bring Pinocchio to life and the Coachman uses magic to turn kids into donkeys and sell them for profit. 3. A whale eats shit and stuff.

It’s actually not feral animals, in the original book, cats actually start out as feral and grow into anthro, its a simple fix just by looking at tge books,

As I was watching the movie, I was honestly half-expecting that at the end, there was going to be a transition as Wolf was talking, blocking him and the Bad Guys from view for at least a second, and then they appear as humans everyone acts like everything is normal, revealing that the whole anthropomorphic thing was a physical metaphor for how society viewed each of them.

Nice review; and you two brought a smile to my face. And all your points were straight on, especially with the other bad guys. Aside from Wolf, it doesn’t make sense how they would be good. I mean the popsicle scene, the only one who should’ve been getting good boy tingles should of been Snake, the others just saw and thought “hey if he’s good we can be good too.” I would believe they would be good if they actually did a good deed first. And as for Wolf’s transition to good, it could lead back to Diane. Here’s what I saw: he took the ring first as he arrived at the gala. She then chats with him here and there, and even having a moment with the ring. Diane had all the ability to take it back, but she made him think about his actions and trusted him to do it himself. And at the party, as they danced, he gave the ring back. No strings, tricks, or anything evil, proof that he had truly changed. And when the gang were caught and trying to leave, he even had hoped that she would believe him and she did. If this film had any chances of failing, then that transition would have made it right 👍🏻. So far, love this couple 🥰💞

Honestly I have to agree with your points. I mean I found the movie predictable and wasn't really shocked for most scenes (minus the granny scene). The art style has definitely been my favorite ftom recent animated movies. You and Corey made a fun collab and I hope to see more collabs at some point!

Good review. I understand your complaints, but I for one didn’t mind them too much. Marmalade being a villain was in the books, so it wasn’t much of an actual surprise and I loved seeing him ham it up as a baddie. (Also, his motivation is the same for all rich assholes: they just wanna hoard as much money as possible). As for the breakup, while it was a cliche, I didn’t mind it because it was less about them leaving because they felt betrayed (though that was part of it) but because they genuinely felt like they couldn’t be good. That all being said, I do agree that there probably could’ve been a bit more done with Shark, Piranha and Webs, and I hope they rectify that in the sequel.

@@miserirken It does? Which part? The one where he runs away from the Cave of Lost Souls? Not really a break-up because Kitty & Perrito still pursue him to the wishing star. Or that part where Kitty is about to leave Puss when they're atop the wishing star? Well, that only lasts 5 seconds until the film moves on to the big action setpiece. It's ALMOST a break-up but it doesn't actually happen. A close call, if you will. It's like if in Tangled Rapunzel noticed that Eugene was on that boat against his will or if in Shrek Donkey spilled the beans on Fiona right when Farquaad arrived.

There is actually a lore explanation why some animals in sonic arent anthropomorphic and it has something to do with the energy the chaos emeralds radiate and then mutating some animals and some not but then again this couldve been retconned so

Was never canon, that's from either Archie or Fleetway comics. In the games, they are just anthro animals, just like that. They usually live in far away islands while the humans inhabited most of the continental landmasses of Earth.

The only problem I have with this movie is the constant confusion of the characters. They want to go full-on Zootopia mixed with humans and yet they have regular animals in the movie? It's like the same conundrum with Mickey Mouse and Pluto.

It's weird it's like show by Rock House how some of the characters in the anime will be humans but then they never explain why some the characters are humans what's on the characters look like chibi animals with human features like instead of walking on all fours they don't and they have big eyes like anime characters and they say that humans and iSeries look like that because they have music skills or something but then I realize what other characters would like that from the start and there's a big question of why some characters look humanoid what others look like something you can buy at Target for your kid
