Just saw them in concert a few weeks back it was one of the best shows I've ever witnessed. The line up has changed a little, adding guitarist Ben Monder and replacing the pianist with tenor saxophonist Chris Speed. I didn't think this song was going to be the same without the pianist, but I must admit it's just as good!

Thanks very much for posting this video! I saw them play Jazz Showcase in Chicago, and loved this song. This performance is even better, but I'm guessing they've played it a number of times since then -it was fairly new when I saw them. It's Ethan's composition, if that isn't obvious, and I just love it -I could hit replay again and again.

Anthem for the Earnest is a David King composition, but Iverson definitely shines in this performance.

No one plays a Reid Anderson or Dave King composition better than Ethan Iverson. No one. All three of these guys play piano but only Ethan has the incredible intense two hands playing two different time signatures flourish. These three were quite original in their covers as well as their own songs. Their songs sound as fresh today as back then. A reunion is warranted once this current quartet phase passes. Talk about sold out shows!
