Yeah, this is nice; but this can't hold a candle to the Domi and JD Beck cover of it. JD Beck's drumming on that cover is just even more insane than this; as far as accurately reproducing the original programmed drum tracks.

The quality of a cover is not defined by how much it resembles the original
@adamsmith3074 жыл бұрын
Great effort. Drums amazing. But where’s the synth line??!!! Cello would’ve been perfect in place of it - it’s what the whole track was leading up to. Couldn’t they have found a cellist - it’s only four notes?

@hamtaroyt Жыл бұрын
@@py_a_thon but we aren't bad at catching the best either. The drummer ruined the song as he was assuming this is a high bpm song. This song is calm and relaxing and he's playing it like Blink-182 lol
@gf-man331 Жыл бұрын
@@hamtaroyt Travis barker could never pull off this jazz elusive rhythm that dances around the melody, thus it doesnt sound like blink at all. This is a cover and he is taking artistic freedom to improvise. Also this cover is drum centered obviously and thats a decision of the band. It is supposed to sound different and its a take i like a lot. Aphex twin imo would approve given he loves playing around with rhythms and time signatures in his songs.

The piano sounds remedial compared to drums. Show piece here are the drum patterns. Can't hear the bass. May aswell not been there
@xulphyte3 ай бұрын
No. Jd beck nails it.
@tonicarbone1866 күн бұрын
Not nearly. The Bad Plus did it before it was cool and Dave King here is more tasteful with how he introduces more complex rhythms and leaves the time signature then comes back.
