As an owner of many watches: Rolex, Tag, Omega, Panerai, Hublot, TCM, U-Boat and many more, some expensive and some not. I recently added a BALL to my collection. And!!!! I brought a low end one on a punt (had a bad work week and wanted some retail therapy lol). I must admit I really enjoyed the unboxing, this is a real joy in the watch purchase experience for me. When I opened the box I found a lovely watch that in my view has a unique look and is not an homage to Rolex.
@adventureswithtime5 жыл бұрын
Which Omega(s) do you have? I’m considering one. I’d like a Rolex but the steel sports watches seem to be hard to get. Have you any opinions on Grand Seiko?

Eddie de Beer what types of watches do you like?
@edteach3r6 жыл бұрын
Adventures With Time : I adore almost all watches ... from quartz to rare mechanicals. I am mostly interested in divers watches. I own one flieger and one dress watch, which was my dad’s. No Rolex in my collection, but plenty of Seikos :). I know lume is not important for you, but I do use it quite a lot. I am an early riser and do not want to wake the family, so I enjoy watches that keep their illumination throughout the night. I also find that strong lume makes reading the time easier for my old eyes, even when it is not pitch dark. Seikos are hard to beat in terms of lume. Having said all of that, I enjoy admiring a beautiful dress watch when I see one, like your new Ball! I am currently intrigued by a rare Seiko Presage that a friend of mine is selling, but the $1800 is a bit steep for me at this time. It has the most beautiful blue enamel dial I have ever seen. Blue dials are my other weakness!

I’m thinking hard to pulling the trigger on this watch... Been spending 3-5 months now and I keep going back to this one.. I love the enamel dial and that it’s pretty thin at 11mm And like that the lugs to lugs is only 42-44 mm Do you still love the watch and have no buyers regrets..? I’ve found a few places I can get a new one for around $1,375 I would rather get a used on to save some money. It would be the no small second version.. I rather would have the no second version anyway It makes it look clearer.. Thank you Bob

Got myself a Ball Engineer iii marvelight last week after watching your other video comparing 3 variants. Now i came across the Trainmaster video, seems like i have a strong argument to convince myself to go for that one too - a guy with one ball doesn't look good, second one would complete the pair :)
@adventureswithtime4 жыл бұрын
My Trainmaster may not be available new anymore. And understand that it's lume isn't as strong as the marvelight. But I love the design.

Adventures With Time on the contrary, it’s easy to find. To my surprise, I was able to find it easily at couple of watch dealers in my area, just wondering how only 1000 units got so well distributed. But I love the design, it’s simplicity and rich historical vibes it generates. Moreover, I highly appreciate your content and logical approach towards handling this watch collecting hobby, it’s methodical and certainly logical.

@@0xMaverick The question is weather I can continue collecting with a logical mind. But as you know, sometimes it is more of an emotional decision to buy a watch.

Adventures With Time I certainly understand that, may I know if you have decided on which Ball engineer variant to go for, and the second one, which brands are you co side ring for your mid tier luxury watch purchase, planned by the end of this year. I am currently on the same exploration path, inclined towards omega constellation or aquaterra
@adventureswithtime4 жыл бұрын
@waqar akram Shhhh. Don't tell anyone , I'm considering an Omega Aqua Terra. I was looking at the moonwatch but recently realized that I think I would get much more enjoyment out of the Aqua Terra. But I still need to try them on and look at the different dial colors. Hoping to get to do that by the end of the year.

It's a very nice watch but then I bought the Ball Trainmaster 60 Second about 6 years ago. It's very similar to this one. It's rarely off my wrist and if I wake in the night, I know at a glance what time it is in the dark. I like some of the much more expensive watches but see no need for them after purchasing this one.
