I gotta wonder if they kept the final breakdown on tour... I mean, they pretty much hit Roundabout note-for-note, but that last little bit is like "dis mine nao" and frankly they *earned* it...

I believe it was videos of Heart of the Sunrise and Close to the Edge that sold Jon on the Band Geeks, but when Jon requested two keyboard players, I think Richie might have shown them this with Robert Kipp. Imagine how much better the current touring line-up would be, with Ann Marie doing harmonies with Jon though!

This is THE song that changed my life in 1973. I was a child pianist in my 8th year at New England Conservatory of Music playing classical piano. Heard this song. Had no idea what or who it was. Quit the piano, got guitar for my b-day, still didn't know who the band was. Then heard 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago, life changed again. Found out1st band was Yes, but didn't know if the song was called Fragile or Roundabout for like a year. Played guitar every day. Walked into big music store. I wouldn't leave til they hired me. Got the job after 1 year. Started selling and fixing guitars. Fixed as many guitars as I could so finally quit stores and opened guitar repair shop 44 years ago. Haven't stopped since.

I must add though (and many people don't know) that Yes' studio recording of Roundabout actually had two basses playing in it. The usual Rickenbacker and also an acoustic bass playing the actual bass notes.

This is so good. Even better because we now know how difficult this is to do. The way i see it is that the payoff for the musicians when playing live together is immediate and "in the moment" , even during rehearsal. What I am starting to feel with this type of production is that it is closer to making a record in the studio where the "work" is in recording the parts and the "payoff" is when the final video is released. Great Job Band Geeks!

The production and mix on this is amazing, I have just listened back and forth between Yes 2013 remaster and it is the original and great, but for any young musicians wanting to hear all the parts separated to analyze this is it. Very clinical but every part played super tight and lots of space to hear every note. Stunning.

May 2020....I'm a child of the 70's and I've seen Yes a dozen times or more - ALL, the original members. And WELL. I was amazed and thankful that you all collectively gave this song the respect it continues to deserve, I could not tell...Was the Bassist using a pick ? I learned that Chris Squire did, and that practice was unheard of !! As a rule, I don't care for cover bands....And for someone to Master a song from a band that is as technically complex as Yes is ….Again, such high praise you pay them. You added to my day... Thank you !!
