A few years ago I wrote these lyrics down and sent them to my mom on Mother's Day. I only learned what that meant to her a few days ago... My mom died last November and we weren't able to have her service because of covid. My dad was going through my mom's things and found the paper I had written the lyrics on. My mom had written on the paper that she wanted the lyrics read at her funeral. Thank goodness that her service was delayed because my dad just found my mom's note. We will now be able to honor her wish. Your song describes my mom so well and it truly touched her heart. Thank you.

This song reminds me of my grandmother. She raised me and she was such a good sweet woman. I only wish I could be half the woman she was. Her love was beyond measure. She loved unconditionally. I just wish I had appreciated her more while she was alive. I was 18 when she died and I didn’t fully appreciate just what she did for me and what she meant to me. It is so amazing how much mothers, mothers do for their children. From going through life changes as we become adults, fighting our battles, teaching us to fight for what is right and then to Shelter and protect their grandchildren as you fight the system when a very wrong have be done to your only child.
