During the pandemic, i used to go down soi Cowboy at night feeding the cats. One of the service staff in Tilac has about 50 that she's taken home from there.

The cat at 13:28 eats those little seaweed strips from 711, he looooves them, super random.. so we called him sushi haha I recognised quite a few of them in this vid, me and my gf feed them a few times a week too.. Loved this vid mate!

Funny video Pat. Pat is the “Catman” of Bangkok. Whenever we met and walked around, he would stop at every cat. The funny thing is that he can also tell little stories to many cats... I like cats too and do my part to give them something to eat or make them "famous" on the internet with cat shorts (to be honest I'm sure the cats don't care at all). The day Pat and I met I was badly sunburned after walking around filming for hours. I actually thought it wasn't that bad but after watching your video I realized I was probably wrong. I had a complexion like a lobster :D

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Cats of Bangkok,Pat! The cats of Lumpini Park look so healthy and friendly. I love the part of your videos where you show the cats of each neighborhood. I myself have a colony of ferals, now up to 14 that are trap neuter release, so they’ve had all their shots and are fixed. I also have a monitor lizard that has lived on my roof for 7 years. She yields the ground territory to the cats and there haven’t been any issues. But she’s an amazing lizard, she was released as part of a breeding pair that the owner either couldn’t afford or didn’t want any more. She picked out my roof after her mate was killed by a neighbor down the street. So we have shared quite the similar experience as Limpini Park here in North Central Florida, where they insist monitors can’t survive. But mine is much smarter, and found her way into snuggling up with the hot water heater after the heat lamps I put out for her with a ceramic heater didn’t work out. It’s been quite the happy little colony here!

Very nice video about cats love it, I agree it’s better too see the cats at the park or at the streets than in a cat café. Nice to see you feed the cats, with food cats can very picky what they like and what they don’t like same as humans 😊 Last time I was at Lumphini Park I did not see any cat 🥺, next time when I’m Thailand again I will buy some cat food and go there again. But I did saw many lizards that time. Great job again👍

Nice job on this Pat, great to see the cats get some proper attention in your video! My gf and i loved walking around and handing out treats to so many cats on our visit. We noticed the cats at the various Wats must be really well taken care of and they were so friendly, next time we will try Lumpini! On a side note, listening to the birds in the background of your video and that endless squawking and chirping really made me smile. I recall leaving the hotel around 5-6am each day to watch the monks collecting Alms on the streets in Khlong San and get a nice stroll in before it gets too busy. The sounds of the birds was unreal, it was sooo loud and i could have sworn i was in the jungles of Borneo. But it was smack downtown Bangkok, full of life and happiness. Fantastic!

I searched, to no avail, through Benjakitty Park before I left. I guess I should have done Lumphini. I did find some to feed near The Reclining Buddha. Thanks for the Walking Tour on Thursday January 25! We had great weather.

One used to be able to go into a cat cafe, buy a coffee and stay as long you want to hang around the cats. Now there is an entry fee for a limited time (1 hour), and coffee is priced separately. So its Lumpini Park for unlimited free feline company now! BTW, the wats are also sanctuaries for cat families, so those are must-visit places for cat fanciers.

Note to self, check out the cats in Lumpini Park when in Bkk. We have the spitting image of what would be considered a Korat cat in Thailand. Love him to bits. He's quite vocal & has his unique vocabulary. He was a rescue cat, about 6 months old when we got him. He spent several days hiding under my sons bed before he had the confidence to come out when we first got him. Nowadays, he parades around the place & sleeps in the dogs bed sometimes.

I AM IN PATTAYA NOW FOR A MONTH AFTER A MONTH IN BANGKOK. VERY DIFFERENT ATTITUDE HERE ABOUT CATS far less local generosity and most are scared and very few 2 level homes seem to be interested in taking them in. I have not been to many cat cafes but the one that I did visit in Asoke doubles as a rescue haven and adoption center with responsible volunteers experienced with cat rescue. So I can only hope others are equally good but again, I haven't been to any; my cats at home would not appreciate smelling other cats on me when I get home 😅😅
