Nickolay Sheitanov I agree. You might already know of Kitboga (who has literally transcended entertainment and is out to make a moral and psychological point to these scammers)... in one video at the end of the call the scammer is literally in tears saying “Please hang up sir you have eaten my mind. Running a business as I have for the last 27 years, we've been the constant target of scammers and credit card thieves. I don't make the statement lightly that authorities will do nothing. They absolutely will not do anything unless pressured, pushed, and you do the hard part of locating the criminals first. While we're very good at detecting crooks, some slip through, and out of I'd say the 7 that have burned us, only one arrest was ever made, despite reports to local authorities and the FBI, along with a plethora of information. Criminals deserve no mercy and I support Jim exposing them 100% -- legal or not. When you steal someone's money, don't expect the victim to obey laws to find you. Just my 2 cents.

Dude they are. Everybody there is involved in this in some way. You are just stating the obvious.

john donovan I don’t know about obvious. When you live in countries with so many regulations (like UK, US, etc), you assume the regulations like FTC/FCC/WCC/WTC will be at least somewhat successful in shutting down these kind of scams. The sad thing is, none of these would be let in without access to our PERSONAL CELL/HOUSE PHONE NUMBERS being allowed to be communicated across the world. Seems like some of the responsibility should lie with the phone company.
@johndonovan70186 жыл бұрын
Theres plenty of scams in the USA too. Difference is they are not done on an industrial scale. Now what JB revealed about these people is they essentially do not utilize payment processors like in the past (i suppose they ran out of ones that havent blacklisted them) but go straight for identify theft which no regulation can stop. There is no middleman so to speak... When you say phone company, which phone company are you talking about? The phone company of the users they call or the phone service the scammers themselves use?
@jackburton63306 жыл бұрын
We have an actual house/land line still. The only people that call it are my wife's dad and PURE SCAMMERS. Every time the phone rings, I straight up load OBS and get ready to hold the cordless up to the mic on my desktop, almost nervously. Sometimes its people in Florida or with american accent (despite spoofing CID they are in Florida, I just know...) and I let them talk forever about my car warranty or credit card interest rate. I let them know they are a criminal thief scumbag loser with a felony record and this is the only "job" they can get, and they're gonna get caught again. Cue the awkward silence, and then either swearing or a disconnect.
@Glitchedx3D6 жыл бұрын
john donovan I’m pretty sure the scammers just use SIP phones. For them, there is no phone company... just a computer with broadband. The person being scammed is usually contacted on a phone in which they have to pay for the service. In the US we have very strict laws regulating phone commerce, so it just surprises me so many inbound calls from India are made without raising any red flags in the phone company’s logs.

Johnny Ay: You have a good eye, that's funny shit, yo! I wonder if eventually corrected before actually sending it. The fact that the scammer apparently has no idea what a MICR line is supposed to look like makes me think not, though, lol.

Great work Jim. Disturbing to watch your content and can only imagine how you must have felt when capturing it.

Sad to say, it makes it next to impossible to trust anyone on the phone with an Indian accent, regardless of the conversation.

The bad part is most companies use actual legit Indian call centers making it impossible to discern

Wow, you did quite some digging there! I watched many of your videos and love the way you handle these guys. I live near Kolkata and although I personally have very little faith in the competency of local authorities, I might be able to pass on the information to some of my contacts who do have some power. Would be honoured to assist in shuting down one of these scamming centres!
