Well that is a lot better than a NES in a chip but somehow remaking NES ges was the hardest aspect for them. If only it has a half decent screen, it would have been decent in comparison to the cheap handheld all in one. Take care.

Ashens definitely had a video where he played a black-and-white LCD handheld console with similar quality and choice of games. I own a similar black-and-white model. The games are really similar, I think they converted them from that format which seemed to be based on some older obscure console.

You hit the nail on the head. The older obscure console is the TimeTop Game King. The black-and-white ones were mostly made by a company called Yuan Da.

I'm sure I've seen that Anger Birds and Plants Vs Zombies on some other famiclone handhelds before. Not too surprising. Sudoku's a logic puzzle btw, ya need to fill in the empty boxes so each 3x3 box, line and column has the numbers 1-9 without repeats, so it's kinda a method of elimination. I personally quite like it

With regards t that Risker/Mario Bros clone, you're meant to bump the platform under them to get the enemies on their backs before you can get rid of them; the POW block essentially puts all the enemmies present on their back, and reverts the ones already on their backs! I'm tempted to get this myself now coincidentally xD

That's right, I haven't actually played Mario Bros in ages, I just remember the POW block putting them on their backs, completely forgot about the platform bit though.

It did show up in Super Mario Bros. 3 and maybe other Mario games, which is where you might have first played it?

Interesting... The UI on this, along with the sound quality, looks a lot like the one on a fake Tamagotchi clone I have called Touma Pet. I wonder if it's by the same people, or just the same SDK. Wish I knew what architecture this is, because I'd have loved to try to mod it.

This might be a color version of the "TimeTop Game King" handhelds you may have seen on the Ashens channel. There are many versions of this device that have colorised and upscaled versions of Game King games such as King Boxing and Sea Wolf.

13:14 actually in the original, you are supposed to jump into the blocks when an enemy is over them to knock them down, and then you can jump on them. The POW block serves to knock everyone down, either to get a bunch of points or to get some control in difficult situations.

This (the negative parts) remind me of a handheld console I bought from China few years ago. I think paid 5 euros for it, including shipping. I could check my video on it to make sure (the first and last video of a similar device I ever made or plan to so don't check my channel for such videos) but I am too lazy. While I was more...nice about it than it deserved (plays NES style games), it really was/is a terrible handheld, especially the screen. Not only like this one was slightly off, but also there is a problem with the resolution which makes everything look just terrible and depending on the game unreadable. I envy people like you who can make such videos all the time, I find it takes away from my soul. Anyway, thanks for the video and I hope you feel better.

Here's the thing I never understand about cheapo devices like this. How the absolute hell, do any of these people manage to make bad controls? We had good controllers with the NES! How hard is it really to just copy the design for how the internals of the buttons work? Also pretty sure that Mario Bros arcade clone is using Adventure Island music.

I can actually see quite a few advantages of the original Game Boy over this. Longer and more detailed games, longer music loops, and you could get new games for it. Not to mention the screen was big enough to see without using a camera. This does have color though.
