Very fair review. I ended up leaving mine in the low setting all the time on the basis that (1) it’s way more stable at the lower setting and (2) as you point out it’s such a PITA to change the height. It’s good, but expensive, when used like this. It is what it is. Still 7/10 overall.

Yeh nothing is perfect! I do get good use out of it. Do you have anything else from baseblocks?

I got the basebars, as well as the baseblocks, and the single base bar. I picked them up used at great prices because people are going back to the gyms and they are selling their home stuff. They are probably my favorite pieces of equipment, but I like other stuff too. I love that these are devices low to the ground. Love that for some reason. But what I love most is that I have them in a location that I frequently walk by and they are so tempting just to jump on and do a bit of exercise, like having rings or a trx hanging nearby which I also jump on. They are so much fun to use unlike a lot of exercise equipment. So I am getting extra exercise by just having them around. I do agree that they are difficult to change around so I don't bother.

Same as me! I just leave them at high or low and keep it there. Cheeky few reps ans that's it! Haha

I just bought some barely used B-Bars and and the Basebench pro for $150. I feel like that was a good deal especially for nordics, Bulgarian split squats, dips and rows which are the basics that I need something to allow me to do that. I also use the Basebench pro with my soccer players that I train. Easy to transport and use.

I think on their website they actual mention the thick grips as a positive thing, since it helps to work on grip strength. Personally I'd rather a thinner grip though since it's easy to add thickness and impossible to remove it
@sean.momentum
@sean.momentum 2 жыл бұрын
Pros and cons it definitely will help but I guess some people would never use a fat grip coming from general gym None the less, still good - just hard for females to use (or small handed people like me 😂)

I feel like the only way this could work for me (as someone who alternates dips and pullups/chins until failure is if I kept both bars the higher height and then used a stool to get into dip position. But not sure how I feel about the stability at the higher level for dips or doing L-sit pullups all the time rather than regular.
@sean.momentum
@sean.momentum 2 жыл бұрын
If the bars are set well, it shouldn't be an issue and I've never felt like I was going to fall; unless the base of it was too narrow! I actually have used exactly what you mentioned above for my set up with a stool too. It's surprisingly tall and I still need to use a stool even though Im close to 180cm ! (Not tall, but also not short 😂)

You could apply some kind of auto lubricant where the pipes rub together, which should make them come apart quicker and help with the rust. I am getting my single bar for pullups today or tomorrow. I did hear about the grip issue.

I heard that 100 kilos and my brain broke for a moment and was going to say that I swear it could hold more than that. I used one of these that a friend's house and it had no problem supporting me doing dips at 140 kilos. Something my buddy did that when I purchased them I will do myself: just a sandbag on either side to make it a little steadier. Also he went to the hardware store with the clips and purchased 10 more to have just in case you lose one the whole thing becomes unstable.

@sean momentum I purchased these bars. I am trying to find the Base Blocks workout app. I can't seem to find it and I also would like to know what kind of resistance band you are using for the L-Sit pull-ups. I have never owned resistance bands and I am trying to find ones that are ideal for this.

@@Genesis1035 the app is a Web based one and you can get it from the base bars website. Same with the bands, I've either got from base bar themselves or rogue ones! Hope this helped
