Ought to have put down cement sheeting over the timber floor to take out the flex, the grout in the floor will crack and fall out, and the tiles will pop.

You're right, that would have been a good alternative to the uncoupling membrane we used! I find this product much better than cement board.

Hi guys! questions about the shower floor, the shower floor needs to have a slope so water can drain but the shower floor looks like it doesn't have slope and is level with the surrounding floor tiles. Is there a slope I can't see? By the way I tune in every Sunday and am all caught up in the series. I really enjoy your channel! Cheers from GTA

Hey Ray! Thanks for following along. This is a curbless shower so it is flush with the rest of the bathroom but it is sloped in four directions with the drain in the centre of one end. We used the Schluter system and pre formed shower base under the tile!

We weren't going to but since he's had to cut the wall open again we might!! We've never had one before and don't have one now so it's not super important to us but I know a lot of people like a laundry sink...we will see!
