Both Batman and Alfred surviving the explosions they faced in front of them without any significant injuries ruin all of the immersion I had with the movie, IMO.

I love a dark tone batman and there were things I did enjoy about it but the movie just didn't resonate with me. I don't like that it's being sold as a grounded realistic batman but he'll have a bomb go off in his face or he'll botch a landing with the wing suit and have no major injuries from it. People also keep harping on the detective element in this but outside of the thumb drive riddle early in the movie, which was hilarious and I did love, he didn't seem to solve or prevent any other crimes for the rest of the movie. Also batman knocks on the door of iceberg lounge to talk with penguin, seriously? I didn't get a feel for the chemistry between batman and catwoman, I wish they would have flushed out the relationship between Gordon and batman more, and I also wished they would have did more of the narration being done by batman in the beginning. This movie tried so hard to be cool that it's just cheesy, I felt like I was watching someone who shopped at hot topic for 3 hours

Yes! Glad you pointed that out! He is able to survive that bomb without any injuries, which makes no sense in this "realistic" version of Batman. Same with Alfred. Granted, he ended up in the hospital, but still. Also, that's true. that's why I mentioned he's inconsequential to the plot. Everything still happened exactly the same way. Batman was kind of useless in this movie. I talk about it more in-depth in the spoiler version review. and Lmao that's a great analogy. I can definitely see the hot topic aspect haha. thanks for commenting and viewing. :)

Great review dude, your review and your feelings on how you like "your Batman" nearly sync up 100% with my own. I like a dark toned and serious Batman, but one that can be lighthearted and also live in a fantasy world like Tim Burton or even the first Joel Schummacher movie. I liked the Nolan movies, because even though they grounded Batman, the movies were just FUN and with well made stories. If you go super realistic with a character like Batman, but forget a good story and how to be fun, the character just looks goofy, and completely stupid with his costume walking around everyday people. Especially in daylight, but even nighttime in a police station, he looks goofy. The Batman movie is boring, I nearly fell asleep too. I'm going to guess you're somewhere in my generation and grew up in the 80s and 90s? Most of the fans of The Batman are kids or early 20s young adults that just like whatever is current.

Absolutely. My feelings as well. I think that's why the Tim Burton movies and even the first Schumacher movie are remembered. And yeah I grew up in that's era, so that's why I like them so much.

I completely agree with you, to make a long story short, this movie didnt feel like a movie, or a spectacle. It felt cheap, which is beyond me considering their hefty budget, but it all just didn't translate well on screen. It was more like a generic looking made for tv movie. That's the vibe i got. And that's a crying shame. But of course, i blame matt reeves. Lol

thank you for the video. I believe Batman was the most boring batman movie ever. I could never identify with Robert Pattinson as batman. He is more like a lover in movies than being a great vigilante. Also what the F was all the yelling in the movie! at the end of movie I kind of had headache. you wanna make riddle hurt ok! but yelling is just making the whole movie more annoying.
