Again, where were these videos when the movie came out? All I saw were videos with titles like "why The Batman is the best Batman movie ever made" and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

He wasn't Batman, throughout the movie. He was Edward Cullen, and that's what I was afraid of. Sullen, disrespectful, dry, ineffectual, a terrible fighter (random goons nearly defeated him, a few times), reactionary, watches women secretly. He was a 17 year old, "tortured soul". Before the film dropped, many people said that he would blow us away, and we needed to look past Twilight. But, in this film, he acted very much like Edward. Who was at fault? Probably a combination of people. There's going to be a sequel. Matg Reeves did some good things, in other films, but I don't care to see him make another Batman movie.

Honestly other than him being a tortured soul you made some decent points. But what makes him interesting in every iteration is that he is much more tortured and as a result morally gray than other heroes. This does NOT mean he's an antihero, just a questionable hero.

Sorry I'm late in checking yur review. I just felt so insulted watching the movie that I didn't want to be reminded of it at all for some time, EVEN the 'Batman and Robin' films had the decency to treat both the audience and characters with actual respect. Besides the race swapping, I am especially livid towards Kravis because she became an arrogant fake victim without realizing she is the only actress to get Cat-woman wrong. At least Annie got the basics right consistently. The only redeeming thing the film got right about Bruce was that he doesn't ignore his compassion during situations (yeah that easily blinded people to how bad the first watch was, even I was initially lenient to it.).

Batman just going thru the front regular entrance of the club and saying the same thing when he wasn't costumed... Batman taking bombs to the face and multiple assault rifle fire point blank... Tries to be a flying squirrel, crashes and really should've been dead... Batman just chills with everyone from cops to regular citizens...

My favorite part of the movie is how you get to see with Bruce that being this scary vengeful force isn't going to cause the right change. We get to see Batman go from a symbol of fear to a true hero. definitely see the complaint about it being weird that Bruce is already 2 years into being Batman tho.

I think I’d like the movie a lot more if people were more honest about it. Walking out I was shocked at the praise it was getting. People were saying it’s a masterpiece and the best Batman movie. I mean yeah it has some good aspects but it’s hardly the best Batman movie or a masterpiece. It was mostly dull, boring, slow, and pretentious. This movie is pretty low on the scale of Batman movies for me. Hell I was more entertained with BvS which is also 3 hours.

I can see where you are coming from with the race-swapping where it was done kind of a lot. However, i think how angry you are about it makes you sound racist, even if you arent. Im not trying to accuse you, just saying you might wanna focus more on the writung of said characters in their individual character discussions. For example, i didnt like the actor for Commissioner Gordon because he portrayed a much more gritty and angry Gordon than Gordan ever should be as heis usually a beacon of hope and endurance in a city that hates enduring hopeful people. But i didnt hate the Catwoman actress because although i do think other actresses did it better, she is able to portray most of what she needs to portray--a hungry, feisty street girl who has a hard time learning to be noble. I only wish that in the story she had a conviction to do something more noble than saving so.eone she personally loved, which was good, but i woulda liked for her to do something a little more heroic for her character arc.

Jim Carrey played a more faithful version in Batman forever, would it have been so hard to give us the top hat, giddy about being smarter than batman, riddler? Why does he never say riddle me this batman? Its like theyre ashamed of batman being a superhero and having a villian like the riddler so they need to reinvent him as a psycho killer, something he never was.

The MCU has its own creativity but it doesn’t follow the source material. You do realize that the first 10 issues of Batman in Action Comics he killed people right? We as fans don't like him killing people but when he was first created he totally killed people. So don't fight with me about source material, because other wise we will be here all day. It was copy paste, they took the Telltale idea to make Bruce's parents evil and corrupt. Which ruins Batman's mission a little bit because he always thought his parents were good people trying to help Gotham and some criminal scumbag kills them both. They took the idea from the comics to make Catwoman the daughter of Falcone, which most people don't like. They also were clearly inspired from Batman year two, so yeah.

The movie sucked. The character sucked. Everything about it sucked. I can't even pull myself to remember most of what happened in the move cause most of the time it was pure snooze. The part where he injects inself with vapourised redbull and does a little squeak had me and my old man laughing. Thank f I didn't go watch this at the cinema.

The Batman is trying to do a different take on The Batman and Matt reeves wanted to do something different and sure you can complain about Bruce being emo but this is a younger Batman in his early years and he lost his parents and he’s still new to being Batman. I’m sorry but I have to disagree with all the stuff you said here mike. Matt reeves in my opinion did a great job with Batman and I think he knows what he’s doing. Also the black eye liner thing is for when he takes off the mask because every incarnation before has always the black eyes has always disappear and Matt reeves fixed that,Matt reeves wanted to do his own take on Batman with a mixture of other stuff and I like how there take on riddler is a mixture of Hush and riddler and yeah he does remind me of saw. Tim Burton did his own take on Batman and no one complain so why complain on Matt reeves take? Matt reeves Batman is more accurate then Burton’s version since he killed people.

Kurt Cobain was able great man and Nirvana will always be legendary. However, this movie is trash and has no business using Cobain's music. It goes against everything the man stood for.
