The calm but uneasy humming is his childhood, and the more the song progresses (the build up to the action) is the build up of him slowly becoming a demon from hell, THE BATMAN. Once we hit the epic part of this song, that is when he is now Batman. And the humming over the epic part is a reminder of why Bruce Is doing what he does. Vengeance. The Batman.
