Now, we're talking~ !"* After the WTF is happening to Joker 2, Barry Keoghan decides to put on his "big boy" Joker pants and go all out to redeem the character after the disappointment of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker 2. I don't hate Phoenix's performance as Joker, he was great, but the creativity behind the 2nd film done him dirty, destroying the legacy of the first one. Keoghan, if you see my comment right now, then... put the smile back to the fans...and redeem the Joker aspect that WB took away from Phoenix due to the 2nd film.

@@emperorsean1 I think Reeves will introduce other villians. He will give us the rogues gallery. It appears we will get some type of Joker/Riddler team up after the end of the first movie. More importantly Reeves has a new take on the Joker. Barry is way different and creepier then any Joker I have seen in the comics, cartoons, or live action.

The BatMan part 2 will be released in the year of 2026, but hearing that Barry Keoghan returning as The Joker is something new and interesting, I like it because in a deleted scene of the first BatMan since 2022 he looked disturbing and scary, I hope BatMan part 2 will be successful in 2026.

They should use him a bit more in this film then the first one, having him help Batman stop Clay-face from Arkham, then Batman 3 he become the villain of the film, concluding the trilogy with Batman’s most iconic villain. They could still make the Court villains as well. Batman movies often have 2 villains. Catwoman and Penguin, Riddler and Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow and Ra’s al Ghul, Joker and Two-Face, Bane and Talia. Joker could be the first villain, then he starts to also uncover the Courts and they become the main villian. Sort of like Batman Arkham City with Joker and Hugo Strange/ Ra’s Al Ghul.

So I'm gonna give my opinion on Joker for this Universe, regarding how it'll go. I definitely understood why everyone doesn't want Joker as the main villian for The Batman Part 2. Joker's just been in so many movie's over the years, especially the last 15 from TDK, to SS, to his own movies with the most recent one just coming out. I get it, people don't just want Joker. Aside from Spider-Man, Batman's Rouge Gallery is the most iconic in comicbook history having some of the most memorable and improved supervillians. And consider that some of those villians have either haven't had a movie debut yet, such as Clayface or The Court of Owls, or even worse have had been in a movie but done terribly, such as Mr. Freeze, it makes sense to prehaps focus on some of those guys first before going on to the Clown. However, that doesn't mean we can just not have Joker as a threat either. Like yes maybe he's been overdone at time's, but there's a reason for that considering he's not only Batman's archenemy, but arguably the most iconic comicbook villian ever created. Like even for people who don't know anything about Batman would at least be able to tell you who his main villian was. So personally, I think that for "The Batman" franchise? They gotta play the long teasing haul here, just like how the MCU did it with Thanos. Considering their planning multiple TV shows & movies for this Universe, it's the best way to do it. Like if their gonna have 3+ shows and maybe a few movies total, than they show build Joker up. Slowly showing him bit by bit from cameos to maybe a mention as an off hand comment from say someone from Arkham. All leading up to the confrontation between him & Batman in say The Batman Part 3 or 4, theoretically speaking. It especially makes sense with that deleted scene being cut from the main movie. Since it was cut, they could have so Joker & Batman haven't technically meet yet. So when they eventually do? Big pay off.

I think they are setting up joker to be more like Hannibal lector. And I’m all for it, Hannibal’s whole character was treating the protagonist ironically better than society, and having the joker, Batman’s biggest antagonist help take down villains in a sort of demeaning way would be fun to see.

Honestly, can we skip the Joker for once? We had everything from bad to fantastic Joker portrayals over the last 10+ years, but there is an oversaturation, Batman has so many villains that are great and underused, that would imho work better in the Reeves universe.
