Man says to Zubayr I will take out Ali, he says How, he replies: I will join ranks and then do it. Ibn Zubayr quotes a hadith saying a Mumin can't be taken out by treacherours means. - Musnad Ahmad Khulayb went to meet kufans and said can basrans fight us? It will be fine. Young boys fro each camp would hrow stones at each other, and so did the slaves... it wasn't intended. Zaid ibn Wahab with Ali said the Basrans started, Abd Khayr with Ali said Ali started the battle. Ali said I see ppl marched to one another and there iss no good in this. Hasan said be quiet, ppl will say you are in dooubt - Mas. Talhah is holding ppl back, then he is shot by an arrow by Marwan bin Hakam who is with the Basrans, its in Arabi, ibn Sirin, Yahsy Saeed uncle etc. Qais ibn Hazm was a witness uncle of yahya Sa'id was eyewitness. He felt he should of done more to save Uthman. ibn Abbas said to Zubayr, what would saffiyah , his mother say if she saw you fighting. he left and taken out by Amr bin Jammus, place near Iraq. - narrated ibn Zahid. Ibn Abbas went to Ali who said the one who ended him is in nar. Muhammad bin Talha was an abid, he went to Aisha, she said be like best of 2 sons of Adam. he fell. Ibn Bakr and Ammar bin yasir cut off the legs of her jamal. Battle ended. 40 :00 - as they retreated Ali said don't chase the fallen and prevented taken the women as captive. Khulayb bin Jarmr said by the time I got to Ali battle ended, so it as short. in MAs its from thuhr to magrib. Basrin ended was 2.5k. (saif bin Umar says 10k). Said also said negotations lasted a day, it was 3 days. he said war started at night... this is ibn saba stuff. Kufans won due to experience. Basrans wer less expecting a conflict. hatytham al adi who is weak, argues 12k for kufa and 8k for Basra, this reports matches tarikh tabari, Muhammad Hanafiyah who said Kufas was 12k. Zaid bin Suhan was exiled by Uthman. He said I think we should of been patient - in tabqat Rislan, Aisha radiyallahu naha said bury me with the wives, as I acted after him. Ali said I wish I would have ended before this. Ashtab Naqi'ee, related to Khulayb, he fought Abdurrahman At Taab.- who said kill me and Malik. al Ashtab survived because of that. Khulayb said give amir of Basrah a good word. He replied don't worry about it. Lashtab thought he was going to be Amir. Khuylab was told ibn Abbas was Amir of Basrah. At Taab confirms this. Ashtab said on Ymen, Ubaidillah ibn Abbas, Uthman bin Abbas in Hijaz, in Basrah Abdullah bin Abbas , in Kufa, Ali.... why did we end the sheikh in medina if this is the case?

Akhi your comment is slightly unfair to Yasir Qadhi, I’m watching his seerah series and he very clearly points out what are the stronger narrations vs. weaker narrations. And he gives a lot clarification about the full picture of an event when there’s piecemeal reports. He’s not perfect but he’s not creating fantasies and his work is not sloppy. It’s some of the most rigorous historical analysis in the english language

As a shia the problem I see with this, is the use of one “shia” historian/book etc to generalise how all shia view the topic. half, if not the majority of the “shia” claims in this video would be laughed out of a shia mosque (or worse). for example, Ali (as) cursing a man using a derogatory term? Shia hold Ali (as) to honorable standards, and that is not honorable by any means. chastise the individual writers, not the sect.

According to some narrations in tabari, maybe from abu mikhnaf (a proto shia narrator), that marwan was angry because Talha RA has had disagreements with Caliph Uthman prior to the rebellion, and had, therefore, not publicly stood against the rebels, and had not publicly sided with Caliph Uthman

@@ituuali4744 Yes majority of those Hadith are sahih from our books. Loving the aahlul bayt is from my Eman and Aqeeda and not to support those who have hurt them. Ali RA Wa AS was a rightly guided caliph and was upon haq during his caliphate. Those who wronged him is a matter for Allah and them. However if you accept these Hadith you will have to accept the principle behind them and the sahaba who have narrated them too. You can’t pick and chose. Also the challenge still exists from Br Farid to provide evidence of Umar RA Wa AS ,shut the door on Fatima RA wa AS. Even your scholars have stated that they are weak and Fabricated.

don't stick to one primary source. this topic is misused by rafidis against Sunnis. shi'a misquotes sunni sources while they don't have an authentic report. Khulayb said give amir of Basrah a good word. He replied don't worry about it. Lashtab thought he was going to be Amir. Khuylab was told ibn Abbas was Amir of Basrah. At Taab confirms this. I think you missed an important point why a lot of people believe Ali had a hand in the death of Uthamn. Because you mentioned Mohammad Ibn Abu Bakir being one of the main killers and the one that ordered the death of Uthamn. But you failed to mention that Mohammad Ibn Abu Bakir was raised and brought up by Ali because his mother when he was 2-3 years old married Ali. And this Mohammad Ibn Abu Bakir was made the Governor of Egypt by Ali.

the shia narrative as you know is the same people who had enough of uthman and developed resentment to him and even called for his head were the same people that used it as a excuse to rebel against imam ali a.s. it is known talha and zubair came to him and asked for positions and when they werent given they became bitter and joined forces with aisha who already had a bitterness to imam ali a.s. they raised a army and headed towards basra where talha and zubair had supporters. imam ali pleaded with zubair and eventually got through to him and he left the battle proof that there was another agenda besides finding the killers of uthman because others could of stopped also but clearly didnt . the war ended when aishas camel was taken down further proof that she was the motivator and wasnt going there for peaceful purposes as some try to sell

Imam Reza (ra) was asked about the prophetic hadith, “My companions are like stars. Whomever you refer to, you’ll be guided.” Imam said, “This hadith is weak, but its meaning is inshallah correct.” Then he was asked about another prophetic hadith, “Leave my companions to myself.
