Actually, there was a small distinction to Betazoids. They all have black irises.

In season 7 ( early) said the 7th fleet was back up to 50 percent strength. , but you could pull ships from other fleets or different theatres , plus new ships, I suspect federation shipyard production was never higher. Utopia fleet yard , had 75 space docks. They produced a dozen defiant class ships a year. The federation had dozens of shipyards and were building new ones or rebuilding wartime space docks. By the third year of a war, you would probably see more ship's than the first two combined. And Sabre class, for example, was very quick to build

I had long thought that 7th Fleet had been destroyed, but then I considered Operation Return. 300+ ships each from two fleets and doesn't sound like that was a large part of the fleets, much less the whole fleet. 7th Fleet might have sent off a Task Force to Tyra that got decimated, but I don't think it was a significant chunk of it. I end up figuring a single fleet was 1000-3000 ships (so contributing 10-30% of each fleet for Operation Return), which would put total ship numbers at 10-30,000 ships and that seems decent when accounting for the registry numbers increase between movie era and TNG.

Telepathic Jem-Hadar would actually be very useful to the Dominion. They'd only use that power relative to how they are ordered to use it, just like their shrouds. It would primarily be a weapon (mental attacks), detector, and tactical decider. They would also immediately just kill potentially rogue Jem-Hadars and know who are immune to the White, and kill those too. Studying Betazoids to give Changelings telepathy is like studying a vacuum-tube television to figure out how to make a smartphone use beta-rays light up its screen as its display... not compatible basic make-up. In theory, given the fact that Changelings could alter their body down to even being vapor and flame, they could take on a telepathic form if they so had the practice.

I had a feeling Mengele was the inspiration for Mosset’s experiments, but I was very intrigued by the inspiration for him looking into the Betazoids specifically, so that is an excellently frightening concept (telepathic Changelings)

And also it's very telling that obviously he is scared of the idea of telepathic changlings and is glad that the people of Betazed aren't like that and just only telepathic.

OMG your answer to the 7th fleet question! Please, please, please do a future video where you discuss and go through the behind the scenes infrastructure, and administration of a fleet during the Dominion War era. Especially any none front line utility ships. Such a video would be EPIC. Let's see the pole of the broom... I'm also sure there's enough of your fans that would love such a reading between the lines episode.

(Actually, Betazoids have those really dark, nearly black irises. So they do use contacts for that.) (Also I agree on the timeline, I think the calendar years usually cited probably don't actually add up to even as much time as the shows referred to passing during and between episodes, even. Certainly there'd be no sense lopping additional months off. )

Weather play important factors in planning for a war with moving troops. January is normally cold and wet with all the snow during the war season. Many military operation take place during the late spring and summer because the weather is more fravorable with clear sky, growing food, dry gound, and troops aren't freezing to death. The season changing wheater truma like hurricane and tornados is very low. In space, you have spaceships with a control climate. Countless worlds with clmiate control device for agriculture, industry, etc. If space have somesort of weather patterns that make operation diffcult, wars could start any time. So, I don't see how it is unrealistic for Dominion to start in January.

Here's an idea; replace the entire 7th fleet with an entire fleet of Oberths. Stay with me. Whole fleet of Oberths, right? Then you just ram them each individually into the enemy fleet until there's no more fleet. Each Oberth is made out of highly refined explodium, so they'd each act like a giant ship-sized photon torpedo. As we've seen recently in Picard, just tossing a ship at another ship is actually pretty effective. Boom; Dominion War solved.

The 1st vorta they ran into the female had telekinesis powers. Is the ones that could nap Cisco and the crew
@lynngreen7978 Жыл бұрын
It would make more sense for a Vorta with Telepathy, or turning Betazoids into a new servitor race.
@occultatumquaestio5226 Жыл бұрын
Hm; I didn't know that was the case for the Stardate, and yeah spreading out those last dozen episodes does make sense. I however think you're an order of magnitude too small for number of ships however, given the episode *"When It Rains..."* . Also, on your thoughts on telepathic Changelings, yeah that'd be a terrifying notion, & it does make more sense than telepathic Jem'hadar or telepathic Vorta (mind you the Vorta already have telekinetic abilities) which might backfire on the Dominion by weaking their loyalty.

There's a story out there that Gene Roddenberry originally envisioned Troi (and all Betazoid women) as having four breasts but Majel talked him out of that, long before she was even cast as Lwaxana, simply telling him as he was creating the show that it would look stupid, but he had it in the very first drafts, almost until casting started.

Hi there Venom, if you could I have a question you might be able to put in a video. What would you say is the better starship, the post dominion Galaxy class or the post dominion Sovereign class? I've heard many conflicting reports that say the Sovereign is a better all-around ship, one that says the Galaxy had better defensive systems, one where the Sovereign was just a smaller galaxy made exclusively for combat. Could you clear this up? (I have a personal Bias towards the Galaxy so I'm no good)

I'll cover it in a short. It's a good question

I would think that if the Founders achieved telepathy, it would change the nature of the Great Link to which they wouldn't need to be a weird ocean on one planet. Instead, there be lakes and smaller seas of Founders scattered across a region in space (maybe solar system or more) and the Great Link would endure like it does physically. #TransChangelingism
