It’s been cool to watch Leo Jaymz grow as a brand. I cannot think of another young brand that has worked harder to improve models than them. ✅Locking 21:1 tuners ✅roasted maple neck ✅jumbo stainless frets ✅improved neck design ✅Multiple finish options ✅Strap locks ✅deluxe gig bag (legit guitar storage The only thing left in my radar is to start using bone/Tusq nuts The tuning buttons are too big tho. Smaller head would be perfect. Tried to swap them. The shank is odd sized and doesn’t interchange with other button heads. Great job Leo Jaymz and Richard for a great comparison.

You shredded your toenails off! Now I know how to save time on my grooming and get more guitar crammed into my day, lol. Leo keeps making his guitars better and better while keeping the prices in check. What more can people ask for?! I’d love to see some of the non-shredder models get great upgrades like these too! I am a fan of binding, but I can see where fast players may not like it. I’m actually surprised that the binding was put on the non-Deluxe model. You’d think it have been the other way around.

Loved the shred-off Richard!; thanks for featuring both guitars in one video. I'm giving Leo a second chance after being disappointed with the QC on my 2nd gen Monsoon (in flat black). I just couldn't resist the Deluxe Red after you showed teasers on the live stream a while back. Now that it's out and seeing with better features and killer gig bag; I had to have it. I see Leo is listening to feedback; especially the sliding truss rod cover, SS frets, and locking 21:1 tuners. I love the smoked chrome hardware too; what a looker! and I already love the sound of the Alnico V pups in these:)

😂 the shred off portion was funny. I got my matte black third gen and I really like it. Unfortunately, the toggle switch was broken during shipping and I didn't get a response from Leo Jaymes about it and was only able to get a $10 voucher from Amazon to buy another switch as long as they're the seller and guess what they don't have. A matching switch . Frustrating. Anyway. I'm going to buy a new switch either way and fix it. Like I said though, the Monsoon is a badass ax. I'm normally a Floyd guy, but having some hardtail guitars is fun too.

Then I would be sold on purchasing one. Traditional jungle or desert camouflage one would be nice. Just a few ideas since it seems you have some pull with Leo Jaymz. Richard, I've been seeing a lot of review videos that are showing radically uneven fret ends to fretboard edge spacing on these guitars. We all know how the internet magnifies issues beyond reality...So I want to ask what your experience has been across all the LJ guitars with ball end frets. I have seen some good examples and some really bad examples.
@thebaldshredder27 күн бұрын
When you say "a lot of reviews" how many are we actually talking? And by who? Just curious. I have 4 Monsoons now and none of them have "radically" uneven edge spacing. But I can't also say that they are all perfect. With the new stainless steel frets, they are still improving the process. Is it 100% perfect yet? No, but it's nothing I would complain about. You saw me shredding on both of them. I never missed a note or pulled the high e string off to the side. Also keep in mind that with any budget guitars, quality control can vary from guitar to guitar. Mine are amazing, but maybe others aren't?
@BazonBlades26 күн бұрын
@thebaldshredder , that's exactly why I asked. The internet tends to amplify every little issue way beyond what it is. I've seen a couple of videos where they show the uneven frets. I can't remember who it was as I was just watching whatever popped up. Let me look for the last one, and I will link it here for you to check it out. It was on one of the new "deluxe" models.
@BazonBlades26 күн бұрын
@thebaldshredder , I can't find the last video I watched. It's almost like it was removed. I can't find in my history or with a search. It was on the new deluxe models. I'm going to keep the Monsoon on my short list and try one myself. This is the same kind of stuff that I see in Firefly videos. People complaining about things that I haven't seen in my multiple examples. This is one of the worst aspects of the net. People over focus on negative stuff, and it gets spread around until it seems overwhelming.

I would like to cash in one of the two or three vouchers i get every year to make an opinionated negative comment. The Delux Monsoon, to me as presented, looks ugly like a cheep countertop. So ugly, in fact, that I felt compelled to notify the world in a salty comment. Richard played them both and probably plays better than most of us, however, and I cant find fault in how the guitars sound. They both sound nice, in fact. Moreover, the way the Bald Shredder plays I would expect a typical "affordable" guitar to break in half and catch on fire during or immediately after most sessions. Soft tail notwithstanding, Id expect him to knock a lot of guitars out of tune mid song but both did fine....even the ugly countertop guitar. The pickups even managed to not be offensive. They did not belt out vintage PAF boutique candy or ear collector tone, but they ring clear. Keep in mind that both of these guitars cost LESS than a lot of replacement NECKS or mid tier tremolos alone for big brand guitars. Not bad.
