The animations were really good! I kinda thought you were using the Divide et Impera mod but it appears not. I thought, the Pontic Armies still deployed pikemen at this time period though. But that's just on me I guess. On all accounts, this really was a great battle and animation. Well done!

Although we can't be sure it seems pontus abandoned using the phalanx after the mithridatic wars because the cohort system was so superior. There is some mentions of Mithridates reforming his army by the third one so by now its likely the reforms would be complete under his son
