OMG. This house is utterly perfect. The best house I've ever seen. I'd leave the retreat, but not in the bedrroom, put a double door on the living room angle side and have it a game room for the kids which could then be an office later or whenever... or a media room, lots of options. And you SMART FOLKS have tucked the kitchen where an untidy kitchen doesn't make the whole house look messy! I do not like open concept, love seeing places getting a way from it!

My only suggestion, should've built each of the 4 bedrooms as jack and jill bathrooms. I would've made the retreat just a little smaller so the entrance wouldn't look/be so confined. I'd have chosen either SS appliances or lighter kitchen cabinets and for sure change out those ghastly looking tiles but overall good space and layout!👌✌👍👊👏

Just a weird thought.... you could put a rental apartment ....... (or parents separate living) ....... or a B&B in those two end bedrooms w/the bath. Put the bath door into the one room and remove the bath door into the house. Then put a door into the utility room if you wanted them to use it, just keep your utility room door locked) If a rental you get min $700 a month for a one bedroom rental. Then they could even use the back door as their entry door. Put a little kitchen in the end of the bedroom off the utility, rest of that room is living room, and then they'd have a full bedroom and closet in the other w/bathroom. Great way to cut down a house payment for as long as you need to.

Bobby, I've been thinking how ya could work in a ceramic walk in shower (with a seat). You get rid of the tub. Leave the closet alone. Move the toilet to the end of the vanity Make that 2 sinks (on the right as you come in). The back wall is for the ceramic shower. Any cabinets can be on the left as you walk in.

I love the retreat! Can you replace the carpet and go with the same fllooring as the rest of the home or do you have homes already like that? Carpeting is bad for people with allergies or breathing problems. Your home is gorgeous.

Absolutely love this. I do have a couple of questions. However I do love the retreat. I love to sew in my spare time, the retreat room would be perfect for that. Even one of the bedrooms would be good but with it being off of my bedroom would be perfect cause I sew mainly quilts and quilted purses. Ok, here comes my first question, if you did make the shower a complete walk in how much would it change the price? Question 2: would it be possible to make the second bathroom and Jack and Jill bathroom. Instead of having a little corridor there completely close it off and have just a door going into the bedroom then once into the bedroom have one of those doors that are built in the wall that slides but also locks. I have 2 boys that are 14 and 12 and I have always wanted a jack and Jill bathroom for them. If that would be possible. It should also add room to that bathroom to add a linen closet or maybe a have both a soaker tub and stand up shower. Or even a double sink. Ok and for my last question. Can you turn bedroom 4 and 5 into one big room and add a fire place to it. Also on the left side corner of the room put a closet. That way you can use it as family room, or indeed a really nice 4th bedroom. However I see myself using it as a family room. What would the cost change be for all of that.

This old world bout got the best of me for a bit! Is this available in Douglas Ga, for around 100 without the retreat?? Is everything included with that price?? AC, delivery etc.? Financing options for myself with not much credit is always an obstacle but I know there is a way I'm sure of it! My kiddos would really love a tub that's big enough to wet yourself before ya wash, there shower / tub thingamajig is bout ankle deep and and they hit their head on the shower head so you gotta kinda squat speed wash and keep it moving here now!! But, shoot, Im thankful we have it!! Bigger blessings!
