"I'm wearing a suit because it makes me feel better about myself" one of the hardest hitting lines in a show that has THAT monologue. Close second is Garrett's "I need you to respect yourself". Richie showing vulnerability and honesty, and understanding that he was shitty to people because he felt shitty about himself, and admitting that if he could feel better about himself he could actually be better, that it wasn't too late, was fantastic. Every Second Counts.

Matty Matheson as Fak is effing brilliant. He brings so much fresh air - this series is packed with amazing performances, but I just love him so much. Such a trooper.

You owe it to yourselves to watch "The Blues Brothers." It was made a mere three years after "Star Wars" came out, but it had a budget that was about 2.5 times as large. A lot of cars bite the dust in that movie, and a lot of very famous singers, musicians, and performers are in it, too.

I'm far more annoyed with Carmy this season than I am with Syd. She's giving her all for the restaurant while Carmy is off getting distracted. If he just explained to Claire that he absolutely wants this he just needs to focus on the restaurant for a bit I'm positive she'd understand.

Communication was never his strong suit, not that it’s really his fault, look at his family and how dysfunctional they all are. Let alone communicating with someone you have strange romantic feelings for and all the pressure he’s under and his ptsd and everything else going on.

Carm annoyed me so much this season. Syd is putting her all into this and she's operating on good faith. She doesn't have a profit share. She's deferring her payment for 6 months while Tina and Ebra are going to culinary school and still getting paid. She's there trying to convince Jimmy to invest more money into The Bear. She's going above and beyond. She's putting so much trust in Carm. To the point where she could get taken advantage of. And he's just out wasting time.

"Wasting time". Guy spent his entire life miserable and drowned himself in work. He finally got some comfort and happiness in Claire, nobody can blame him for getting distracted. It's not like he's out there getting wasted. He doesn't owe Sydney anything.

@@davidm5646 Yes he is wasting time. He shouldn't make promises he can't keep. Stop flaking. Stop putting things off and not delegating them correctly. He's the boss. Be the boss. His mismanaging of his personal life and work life is screwing everyone over. Carm putting things off affected everyone else. He starts wrongly blaming Claire when it's his fault. Claire is managing her life and doing her job. He isn't doing that well. He does owe Sydney (and everyone else) respect. That's what happens when you work with people. If you don't do your part & stay focused, things go wrong.

Moving on is great, but not forgetting that an individual hasn't admitted to wrongdoing is also good. It's hard to grow as a person if you don't confront your mistakes. Like, Carmy was wrong for blowing up at Syd (and Marcus). I also think, given what we know of his traumas and experiences, his response was actually decent... for him. Still not objectively good, but good for what he's been through. He told Syd to get off the line calmly, even after her screw up screwed them all, and only blew up when she didn't listen. Which, to be clear, still makes him a bad guy. They all reacted poorly; it's possible for a situation to have all sides be the bad guy. It's the reconciliation at the end where Syd (and, again, Marcus) drop the ball. Which is why Carmy's character is engaging and fun to root for even in that situation, because he's self-aware, apologizes, and grows... eventually, even if he keeps stumbling. Meanwhile Syd ~explicitly~ shrugged off responsibility, and is then framed as purely a victim. A simple scene of her acknowledging her part with the takeout fiasco is literally all that was needed to fix this. A rare example of bad writing on the shows part, I think.

I don't dislike sydney at all but she does seem to get annoying when talking about Claire. Maybe the passive aggressiveness, instead of just being direct. I think her passive aggressiveness makes her seem jealous of Claire(I dont think its the case)

I do not like the Claire character at all. The cutesy, smart assy, sarcasm. It’s not cool. It’s not cute. And any appeal that it has runs out pretty quick. this is certainly not a doctor. Richie & Syd is such an interesting idea for a couple. That is something I never would’ve thought of, but I’d be totally down for that. I feel like most people (myself included) ship Carm & Syd, which seems like the extremely obvious choice. I know Ayo (who plays Syd) has commented on that, and says that she just wants Carm & Syd to stay friends/buds, and IF the story ever leads to those two getting together; she would want the show to really build up to it.
