Recorded on 22 January 1969 at Savile Row. After Paul referred to 'Dig A Pony' as 'All I Want Is You', John improvised a whole new song including a couple of lines from 'Madman'. From Sulpy-Schweighardt book.

But then again, it's only a matter of personal preference. like, when a record is released, I like it to be black and have two side and presented in a paper sleeve, like they were in the 1960s'. It's self evident that their new disc has taken on the theme 'Now and Then' with the new song being 'now' and the early one 'then'. As a matter of personal preference, I was saying that this song is better suited musically as a 'B' side, as that's the sort of thing the Beatles would release had it been done in 1969 for example. The Beatles "Now and Then" B/W "All I Want Is You"
