Nowhere man is unmistakably Beatles. The transformation from vocal group to Rock band, can almost be pinpointed to this track. On a personal statement, sometimes I like when the Beatles seem "human" and are trying to make a song work. If that is what Michelle is, then so be it. Great podcast as usual. Thank you gentlemen.

I love this album and I'm really enjoying this podcast episode about it. One thing that will always amaze me is the inability to believe these are the same 4 guys who made all those albums, recorded in alk fnose styles, etc., "wow, the ones who did Nowhere Man also did She Loves You and also did A Day in ghe Life"

I love that you guys don't hold back on your take of songs, polite, but firm in what you think. Having said that, Nowhere Man is amazing lyrically and sonically. Also, if you like If I Needed Someone, how can you not like Nowhere Man- they are both form the same genre. I love the Byrds and I think the Beatles out Byrd them on these two songs. Also agree on We Can Work it Out- it's def - "Do it my way'. Still a great song. I'm a big rockabilly fan, so I'll stand by Run for Your Life and What Goes On.... not super close, but I'll stand by them. There is a fair amount of filler on Rubber Soul that doesn't get criticized, but the filler on Rubber Soul is much better than the filler on Help.

I would love to see some segments of "The Music of Lennon & McCartney", particularly Paul switching off with Marianne Faithfull doing "Yesterday". Her version is really moving, but a bit overdone. One thing I remember doing with the LP is being both in awe of and amused by the very heavy choir in the last verse. I switched the speed to 45 and found it uproarious. I'll have to see if I can do this with Audacity and make a file out of it.

Paul was wrong. It was Austin Reid(who was married to Beryl Bainbridge). Not Austin Mitchell the television presenter.
