After 3 years today's 3 over spell(197/4 to 204/6 ç 3 wicket 7 runs was that moment that broke the 7 wickets (236/7 to 259/10 run) in total. The reason Sundar is causing problem is ,a batter can neither use his feet to jump out of crease or use the sweep shot. He also gets extra bounce ,with his 6ft height and also variations of pace.

The drift he was getting in air was a treat to watch. Drift makes sure batter remain undecided about the length of pitch. So feet movements are negated or are tentative.

What is more, Nrw Zealanders were prepared for other Indian bowlers but Washington Sundar was out of syllabus for them. In time they may sort him out as well, but by that tume Sundar has done the job that he was brought in for.

Seeing Washington's performance yesterday, I thought if he just ended Ashwin there? I mean the man came in a squad having Ashwin & Jadeja and got more wickets than them. He's a good batsman generally. Now, Jadeja cannot be dropped anywhere so if India were to tour in AUS and required a spinner, they'd go for Washi right? Besides, Ash is starting to look washed (saying this despite he was the MOtS recently). Ash might still be in for every match at home until he retires ig.

I still think kuldeep could have restricted them to a much lesser total and we have conceded 50 more runs. But this does not raise questions on selection of Sudar who looked brilliant and way ahead of his fellow bowlers Jaddu and Ash, which might raise fingers on their performance but not Sundar or Kuldeep(which was your best bowler of bit flattish Bengaluru pitch). Feel for Axar as well, as he can be picked on Indian pitches as a pure batter as well ahead of Kl Rahul😅.

Yup. Ashwin was totally ineffective on a decent batting wkt and they dropped Kuldeep. Story of his life. Ashwin gets to improve his stats on rank turners and people ignore his horrible record on decent pitches and in sena countries and always talk about one spell in Melbourne as if that makes up for his horrible record in Sena countries. Kuldeep got a 6fer in Sydney and they still dropped him. As we can see Ashwin is not special at all. Even Sundar is getting heaps of wkts on these turners. Same with axar or any spinner who gets to play in india

I though jarrod know unfortunately he do not know the reason. After first test loss i said india need sundar to counter rourkee because rourkee was slicing through indian tail. Axar cant stop him. Even sundar may not but he brings some kinda calmness in tail. He can fight 20-40 runs. That is main reason he brought back. Who can bat better against rourkee. Axar is better t20 batsman than sundar can ever be. But sundar is test specialist and should have been in the team but his bowling was trash . he mimiced ashwin jerky bowling action. It seems someone fixed his bowling action which seems on. he need more arc and over spin. He has to get Dangerous.

At the end of the indian first innings kuldeep was batting without much problem, while when the top 7 were in it was hooping corners. After that the ball almost did nothing apart from some turn and odd balling keeping low, so both teams scored freely. When new zealand took the second new ball in the 2nd innings you could clearly see the effect. Swing and seam. You just looked at the scorecard and did not watch the match, right? 😂. After the pant six, when the ball changed it moved much more than the old one. Jarrod himself given evidence for that. And I've watched the match live. Scoreboard warriors like you are a disgrace to the game.
