This is what i mean when i say tyria is my virtual world, the story of this world, the enviromental story-telling that the use to tell you what happened here using elements on the map, the NPCs Who make the world feel live, the music, this is guild wars.

Even though it is 10 years old, I still think GW2 has some of the best art direction and some of the prettiest maps in any MMO that I've seen. And it looks even better with Reshade!

As a hard-core fan of One Piece and a lover of lore and games with many diverse and unique locations, Guild Wars 2 maps are gorgeous and so different from one another, no two maps give of a similar feel. From the npc inhabitants, hostile creatures, large structures, natural landmarks and multi-level exploration maps. Another thing about GW2 is that unlike other mmos which mainly have maps based on a single horizontal level, GW2 maps are structured to have multiple levels, giving the feel of the maps in GW2 have more depth and immersion. There are maps that have layers upon layers of height which requires using of gliding and using jet streams to reach high up, to deep multi-level underground and under-water maps with inter-connecting caves, there's just so much going on in every single map it's almost unbelievable. There's so many hidden secrets littered in every map it's a true gem for those who love to explore. To me personally this is the only mmorpg out there that feels alive, where different events are going on simultaneously at different parts of the map changing the course of what events are unlocked further down the path leading to an epic climax. For example, you could be all alone and attempting to reach a vista for map completion and out of no-where an event starts, which then leads to another all while being beautifully narrated by the npcs to tell the story of their lives, struggles, lore and hostile inhabitants of the map itself. All while exploring the map and all the while gaining more and more players to participate in these progressive chain events. By the time the event chain reaches it's final stage, which more than likely is a boss, you would be accompanied by an enormous number of players by now, you would be more familiar with the on-goings of the map itself while being hand-held across the map kind of like a tour-guide. I really hope other mmos implement multi-level map designs and progressive based small map event chains which lead to a large map meta event and a final boss the way GW2 does.

Really well done! I'll save this show others when they want an example of the games graphics! A beautiful showcase, and I enjoyed that you paced the cuts to the music!

Challenge 1: Name every location presented in this video (and know it before the location changes). Challenge 2: Count the airships After 10 years I still love the music, and with all the vistas this video brings back all the memories of the journey I have made playing through the story so far.

An additional challenge: Count all of the statues of Jora (both broken and still standing). I noticed how many of them there were as I went through all of the maps and watched every vista. It was really nice going back through the last 10 years of Guild Wars 2 and remembering all of my memories with the game as well.

This is so beautiful but the vid doesn't linger on any single image long enough for my brain to process it. If you want it to stick with the rhythm of the song you need to double or quadruple duration of every image. This is way to fast. Overall good work!

wholeheartedly agree. Far too twitchy composition, but Tyria and the song are obviously beatiful.

Everything except the cuts is great about this video. Love the idea and the material you've used for this, but try to let the images show themselves a bit longer, it'll make it less jarring to look at. (the skyrim trailer is a good example for this)
@Athis Жыл бұрын
Completely fair. That's what I'd normally do but I went for a particular style for this specific video because I always wanted to make one video like this. Pretty much every other time, I would not have the cuts be this fast. This has the unfortunate side effect of being a video with a very particular style so some people really love it and some people really hate it. I enjoyed doing it this time because I wanted to do it once, but I'm definitely avoiding it from now on.

I think it's because some scenes changes very quickly to match the music vocals so you cant appreciate them. But the video it's still really good.
