I always thought Pet Shop only had animal noises as a thematic choice. Take Iggy; While the human characters obviously don't understand him, him being able to be understood by the audience with a human voice makes him seem more...human, in a sense. When we first met Iggy and he had no voice actor, he seemed more mangy and beast-like, with there even being an artistic difference between Iggy when he first met the Crusaders and when he began "speaking" and during his fight with Pet Shop. He seems more civilized and human. Pet Shop, meanwhile, is depicted as more monstrous and animal-like than human. He never speaks, but screeches, shrieks and growls as opposed to Iggy's emotional talking. He's clearly not mindless, but rather intelligent; Iggy himself points out his ability to actually strategize and switch up tactics as their battle progressed from the streets to the sewers and underwater. However, while Iggy makes quips and shows clear human emotions, Pet Shop displays nothing but a predatory desire to kill, to eliminate a threat, and only really shows fear when Iggy finally defeats him and crushes his beak. I always felt they themselves were a duality in that sense; Both are animals, but whereas Iggy is portrayed as more human-like and civilized, Pet Shop is an emotionless, monstrous stalker, a force of nature rather than a character.

The creeping cold, ice spikes, and dropped ice can be melted before they can do anything, and unlike Geb or Silver Chariot Horus has no way to block Avdol's attacks and isn't fast enough to let it's user dodge them.

One of the few competent minions of Dio. I have a lot of respect for him. The most powerful Stand user we faced before Telence T. D’arby was Pet Shop(who was only a bird). He was determined, powerful, and a worthy adversary. He took off Iggy’s leg and nearly killed him. As well as giving Iggy a reason to fight, thus contributing to his character arc.

I think it's great how the fifth-to-last arc is basically a "wacky hijinks" arc, but then after that, the final four bosses are just straight-up nightmarish. Pet Shop is terrifying, Terence D'Arby is such a sick, twisted individual that he gives J. Geil a run for his money, Vanilla Ice is a floating black hole, and DIO is...DIO.

There's just a sheer sense of fear with Petshop. Every time he's on-screen I can't help but feel nervous. Birds of prey can already be pretty intimidating but the fact that this particular bird is intelligent only adds to the tension. his cry sounds like metal scraping or a rusty lawnmower and his ruthlessness is rivaled only by Lord DIO himself. Which begs the question where did DIO find this falcon and how did he raise him to be so vicious and intelligent?

Ok so. Pet shop is my favorite villain from part 3. And i don't see anybody else talk about him much. I agree he dosen't get much love. Since i can't make my own video. Allow me to write a "essay" on every thought i have on the character and his fight with iggy. So starting off he's got arguably one of the best stands in part 3 . Horus is really cool (no pun intended) . I especially like how he uses it. Making him kinda like a mini Stealth bomber. I like how his just a shere badass pure no nonsense character in it that he's just all business and never letting up. Honesty the chase opening in part 4 ,had to be inspired by him. Cause this man really did follow iggy to the edge of the earth. Speaking of . Iggy vs pet shop. (The psychology of the guardian of hell) So like with iggy vs pet shop for the first time ,we get a direct look into the mind of iggy and what he's thinking. Tho We don't really know for sure what pet shop was thinking. Mostly because he never speaks. But after watching that fight countless time's. And basically studying every and anything this bird did. I came up with a bit of a theory. Pet shop was guarding dio's mansion for some time. But it's not like he was constantly doing much. Sure he got to kill the occasional dog,bird,mouse,paper boy ,noisy neighbor and what have you . But as seen with the beggar guy. A normal person is no challenge for him in the slightest. And the only stand user's we would have incountered would have just been dio's henchmen. Who aren't threats. And so Pet shop never really had been challenged and thus able to use the best of his ablities. In other word's. I think the dude was bored. So when iggy showed up and with a stand no less. What's the first thing petshop did. He smiled (which like i don't even know how that's possible). Anyway so iggy with the fool ,gave Pet shop an excuse to actually try for once. He actually smiles several time's through the course of the fight all smug. Like "found you 😈" . And then of course there's that bruce lee taunt he did. Even tho he's still mostly all business. I think he was actually having fun fighting iggy. When iggy maid the clone of himself and faked his death. Petshop kinda smirked to himself as if to say. Well that was fun. Hell even the bruce lee thing i think was kinda a way of him showing some slight respect to iggy. Like as if he was saying. "Well how about that you actually got me ,Alright not bad not bad". I could go on and on but i don't anyone wants to read ALL that so I'll just stop here 😅

When you think about stage presence Pet Shop and Iggy are total opposites. If you went to an Iggy concert in the 70s you were probably going to see Iggy roll around in shit and broken glass and then have said Iggy stage dive either into the crowd or flat onto the floor while The Stooges just play as always while with Petshop boys you're going to get some really great synth pop that is hyper fixated on to the point where there's no stage presence but excellent execution. Honestly I just wanted to talk about how crazy Iggy concerts were
