Trainspotting 2 Is so underrated. I unironcially like it more than the first one. And the cinematography is absolutely unreal, one of the best looking films I’ve seen with a style I’ve never seen before in any other film

Same. I'm the same age as the characters more or less and it really spoke to me. I've never seen anything better about being in your 40s and what life is like 20 years down the line. Seeing what became of Rents and Sick Boy et al really helped me come to terms with the person I am today compared to who I was in my 20s.

Totally agree. I had mixed feelings when I first saw it, but I think I was just too in love with the original to accept it for what it was. Having gotten a little older, and having seen in a couple more times, I'm in love with it. There's so many original ideas jam packed into it and they're all executed perfectly.
