Give the characters harder obstacles to overcome and a chance for Gege to make scenarios not always seen in typical shonen manga. You have Yuta’s Power wrong. He is the source of infinite cursed energy, and sends that energy into Rika. They explain it clearly near the end of Volume 0

Yes, it seems alot of people think this way when in 0 Gojo explains it perfectly. He even gave us an example in way of the Katana and how to potentially "break Rikas curse". The ring is nothing more then a curse object now, a medium for Yuta to channel his curse energy inti the ring and summon Rika.

@@ereh11 not really. Warning Spoiler Junpei's arc can be considered as a foreshadowing to culling game arc. The fish symbolism and its connection with Abortive Migration (literal translation of shimetsukaiyuu/culling game) which is a term for situation where non-migratory animals got carried by irregular environment (such as strong current) and die because they can't escape/turn back (also this is pretty much what culling game is about). It's also the arc where we got a glimpse of seeing normal ppl given cursed techniques by modifying their brain using mahito's transfiguration technique. Culling game would implement this again but in a much larger scale. In my opinion junpei himself isn't introduced solely for plot device and mc's development, but a part of the bigger plan from the main villain which is pretty smart writing from the author

Something I especially like in the interactions between Yuji and Yuta in ch. 143 is how Yuta sympathizes with Yuji on his situation, going as far as to tell him "you're not to blame." it was really touching and a great way of tying the 2 together.

I think the cool thing about JJK is a lot of the characters are fleshed out enough and cool enough to be main characters themselves. Characters like Gojo, Megumi and Yuta are honestly good enough to be main characters themselves and tbh are much more interesting than Yuji IMO.

Pretty powerful stuff, I get why she's the queen of curses, like Gojo said, love is the strongest curse, and the love her spirit has for him is love in it purest maybe the only thing stronger would be something between a parent and their child. The beauty of Rika's love is she died with it at it's purest, the two didn't have any conflicts or mileage from any negative interactions, she died young with Yuta being her everything in the short span of time her life was.

I'm surprised he only mentioned Toge's injury as his only reason. Then wth happened to Maki? In volume 0, he lost his shit most especially when Maki was insulted by Getou and when he saw her half-dead on the ground after clashing with Getou. Like what Panda said before, it's easier for others to judge Yuji since they do not know him personally even if he is a good guy. For others, he is just Sukuna's vessel that needs to be extinguished like any other curses. Yuta's close friends Maki, Toge and Panda would probably aid Yuta to retract his decision to kill Yuji, but we are yet to know their status except for Toge who lose an arm.

Something that's interesting to look at is the fact that Rika and Sukuna are both people who became cursed spirits. With cursed energy and spirits derived from the complex emotional turmoil and negativity of people, so it could be that the roots in humanity provide more cursed energy and curse potential than pure spirits, who are as jogo states, more honest in their existence.

I feel like yutas technique is attachment+ copying. Aslong as he has a way to attach things to him he can copy it. He technically did that with rikas cursed body. He attached her to him and then was able to copy her. It probably explains why he can copy other curse techniques.

Not really, Rika Orimoto before leaving left the cursed spirit behind with a little bit of her "will" so Rika will still protect and help Yuta. However, the current Rika no longer has its own "soul" and acts that a separate pool of cursed energy and storage of tools for Yuta to use. In addition, current Rika can only manifest fully for a maximum 5 mins unlike the previous Rika who can go on infinitely

Do you think we're going to meet that mysterious third year hakari this arc, so far nothing is known about him, other than the fact that he is suspended and that he could surpass gojo. Will he be an enemy or an ally, why was he suspended. We've seen previews of Yuta but hakari was never mentioned there.
