The Beelink SER8 Mini PC is an Absolute BEAST

I would appreciate if all the folks who have been owning the Beelink pc confirm that this product is reliable for a long term use. I'm a full-time media music composer and I've been doing my research on mini pcs for 4 months now. I'm on HP Omen 15t for 5 years now and planning to upgrade to a smaller form factor machine for my music production. I have tons of virtual instruments (VSTs) and effect/processing plugins that consume lots of hardware resources especially RAM. Having a mini pc that is upgradable up to 96GB and 8TB nvme m.2 is a no brainer deal for me. I'm just concerned of the longevity of Chinese products because I actually don't trust their cars, so shall I trust their PCs?

I picked up the SER7 last year and I absolutely love it. I even use it for video editing and it has no issues. If I had a way to add an external Video card tonite, I would not bother with a desktop again.

Adding framegen with these igpu's pits their performance on par with things like the 1660 which imo is impressive. Very low power, and wnough grunt to play plenty of games, all in a small office desktop? Love it.

I would like to see a usb 3.0 in thw front, in my use case it will be the most use one to transfer files from a flash drive, it will be easier use the front one than find one on the back

Looks like the front is USB 3.2 but the rear 2 that are stacked are 3.2 on the top and 2.0 on the bottom.

I have a SER5 5600H and really like it. I’m running Windows 10 on it because I hate Windows 11 and recently it’s been a little unstable so I might need a driver update or reinstall. Otherwise, I might try loading Linux on it. The SER8 looks great. Maybe I’ll give the SER5 to my wife and get the 8 for myself.

Hi, nice review. Thanks. Any issues with setting the device to Never sleep/shut off? I've had 2 other BeeLink MiniPCs with Win11 installed and the Troubleshooting for Power says the timing is too long for the hard disk / display / computer to Never go the sleep. Win11 changes them to 20-30 mins. Anyone else face this issue? Thanks.

@@steffenstorli9327 no gon lie it’s a decent lil pc for trade workers that travel a lot. It might not compare to core i7 and up but it can keep up I believe. Hell if it can run Minecraft it’s sold for me 🫡

i have the ser8 but no keyboard and mouse works with it wirelessly.. its super bad lag ive bought 3 keyboards and 2 mice.. they work on my laptop and my macbook but not this pc.. whats causing it? is there a fix?

yeah it is tbh my phones wifi range is better lol i need to use hotspot from my phone and connect my pc to the hotspot so i could get better wifi, i reccomend using ethernet for it
