@@GodSonGamming go on controller settings in the main menu and swap the left stick and right stick controls so that you can move with the right stick. to do electrics, press forward, neutral on the dpad. then you press down with your left hand, while your right hand should move the right stick forward and press 2 at the same time. (so 3 inputs at the same time: 2 on the right hand and 1 on the left hand) you're gonna have to use a claw grip with the right hand when performing wave dashes, electrics, hellsweeps etc. but you can easily swap back to a normal grip. i've been using this with kazuya since launch and it makes mishimas a lot easier to play

Probably one of the best horror games ive played in a very very long time, as a diehard silent hill fan, I didnt think this game would be anywhere near this faithful to the original, but it is and god damn is it amazing so far haha

As a beginner to Heihachi (and Mishimas in general), I'm still struggling to understand the game plan of the character through this video. Aside from some of the moves I could throw out in neutral as well as some of the follow up options some of these moves provide (primarily through stances), what I'm not getting is how these tools make him a rushdown character. Another thing to note is that even though I only need to learn 1 combo for Heihachi, most of his launchers outside of electric are also very slow and punishable-what would be the right scenario for me to use those launchers; for those who happen to know how to execute an electric (not pewgf, maybe around 15f - 18f), do you have a recommendation as to when I should be using it?
@abra21332 ай бұрын
Electric for any mishima should be used as a whiff punish and a launcher thrown to try and clip them at range 2 to keep them on their toes, or at wall as a momentum tool. In terms of launchers, most of them are unsafe, but don't be scared to use them. For example ff2 is -17 but is very hard to punish because of pushback. If you want safe ones then you have ff3, electric and uf3,4. The last one is basically an advancing +4 on block orbital that gives you "dash electric, f3..." combo, it's really good but like most of his moves, it has a lot of endlag on whiff

Following: I’m the same, i main Paul, but I struggle to get 100% eclectic in a real fight situation, not really getting anywhere with him.
@BeanpolrАй бұрын
Honestly he's really not a rushdown character, at least not to the extent he was in previous games. He's much more defensive now, with great punishes and super good damage, but it's all risky. You basically need to play carefully and conservatively with new Heihachi, it's very easy to overextend and you will get punished hard for doing so.
@toughgamer29602 ай бұрын
One correction, back 1+2 is easily punishable by 112 so don’t spam it - i learnt it the hard way when fighting my son 😅

Absolutely! it is -10, but can def be a lot more risky when playing against Mishima characters!

@@shahbaz6741 oh I can do the basic no electricity version 100% consistently. I've read online that I should press 2 at the same time as down?
@nycmaxim6892 ай бұрын
you have to press the button at the same time you press downforward. a trick I use to make it easier on pad is it's easier if you have the same hand pressing both the direction and the button. I map my left trigger to 2+3 for heat, but also when I press f,n,df+lefttrigger I get an electric if you are going to do it manually with both hands it just takes more practice to make sure you press the buttons on the exact same frame.
@Orktosqt2 ай бұрын
Could you, next time, add buttons on screen? as a beginner, it's hard to follow without having buttons on screen. the gap between guides with and without buttons on screen is vast.
@AveryxFGC2 ай бұрын
I will consider it, but this is not a priority at the moment. You are supposed to watch guides usually while practice mode is open, and if the notations being verbally said confuses you, id consider pulling up a cheat sheet that explains them while you watch. I covered a few decently advanced things (triple electric, buffer sidestep cancels, etc.) so this is meant for people who are either just starting to learn these things above, or people who are willing to put in a decent bit of work. this series is more or less a "follow along" type of learning, where this video acts more as a coach explaining things to you, instead of a fleshed out video with a bunch of work into it. its easier for me to make being a fulltime college student and working two jobs, and the people it would benefit putting notations on the screen should get more comfortable with the notations, or make sure they have practice mode pulled up when watching a character guide
