Now it looks like a huge military camp: soldiers and army men appears on TV, bus stations and everywhere. Anti-Zionism is something no one ever talks about here and if they do, they are labeled as antisemic. Only recently I learned about Israelis who left the country like Miko Peled who argue in favor of this solution. Two state solution is not prectical because you cannot evict 700,000 settlers from their homes, and that is only one argue against. One state is the right solution.

I think Professor Pappe is correct. Take the murders at Salem, Massachusetts. These were portrayed as Puritan theocracy at the height of its power. Actually, it was entering its death throes. It was then that it was most lethal. For years before the witch trials, extreme Puritans became obsessed by the belief that “the people” of New England had become religious backsliders, and became more extreme accordingly. As a final point - extremists of the “third generation”, and immediately-succeeding generations, do seem particularly prone to lashing out so murderously.
