If they want to live by their logic, everyone who isn't a full blooded native american needs to leave. I think she was trying to make the point that if men could get pregnant, pro-lifers would change their tune and become pro-choice. I bet if more guys like me were placed in this situation, you'd want the law to allow them to have abortions." The problems she ran into, though, are a) too emotional in her approach to get that clear argument across, b) Ben Shapiro probably stopped seeing her as a man the moment he found out she was trans, and c) Ben Shapiro probably isn't formulating his standpoint out of sexism--he's not focused on the pregnant person's gender or sex; he's focused on protecting the unborn child.

I think you’ll find that the Magnuson Act, which effectively repealed the Chinese Exclusion, was passed in 1943 which was in response to China being an ally of the US during WWII. And while i will concede that the civil rights movement was, in part, responsible for the Immigration Act in 1965, it was not made up solely of Black individuals. To deny this would be to deny history and erase the efforts of non-black individuals who supported and actively lobbied for equal rights. No one can deny that Black community had a pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s… but what of them now? Because while there are brilliant Black people, many of them lag behind the national average with regard to education, economics etc. The million question is what led them downhill.

@@Mcedees24 there were chinese that remained in the States prior to the Chinese Exclusion Act and since 1898, when Chinese were included under the 14th Amendment and granted the right to citizenship should they be born in the US. Many of them were cooks and labourers, that’s where the Americans got Chop Sway from actually. As for the quality of the immigrants, the focus may have been on “high skilled labour” but in practice, the majority of immigrants were not that. Just take a walk down Chinatown. Furthermore, what of the Vietnamese Boat people who literally came from a war torn country to another country who had used them as a proxy snd slaughter millions. Their descendants are richer and more educated than the average black or brown person. What of that?

The level of rudeness is off the charts! If I didn't know there were intelligent people like our Amala out there I would think there is no hope for this country.

Background checks don’t mean that the person cannot or have not committed crimes. Police undergo background checks, but some are trigger happy and downright criminal. When authority goes unchecked, there’s a potential for abuse.

I'm Black (African-American), high income, and in my 40s. I'm also a fourth generation university graduate. In my family, there are ONLY two parent households, and education is valued above all else. I wasn't even allowed to do sports in high school because my parents didn't value that type of achievement.
