Hi Paul, hope your keeping well mate? Good video and well explained. Little bend forming on that 70 degree ;) Think most people that are into this will understand how scopes can help you, especially on the locks that cause some headaches with similar decode readings. Also good for fault diagnosis as you said. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t use a scope somewhere in the process of opening a lock. All the best for 2021, hope you have a successful and productive year. Look forward to more videos and hopefully catch up at the MLA later in the year

Hiya mate, Keeping well mate, hope all good for you too. I think the go pro camera puts a slight curvature on the scope as it does look like it has a curve. I’m guessing the lense does that. Since owning one I’d be lost without it that’s for sure. Let’s hope mla expo is all good this year and this virus don’t put and end to it.

Helpful video chap, do you use a proprietary mortice ID chart, or write your own, to fit your scope info♥️

Thanks for taking time to view and comment. I have created my own log for locks. Though most is stored in the brain. The most common anyway.

Awesome video!! How much do these run? Is there any way to make a home brew one? I would love to see more videos using this.

The price varies from £80 up to couple thousand. Based on the quality etc. Not sure home brew would be possible. Extremely intricate work. Th Jd for the view and time taken to comment

Is it possible they measure the viewing angle a different way. 70 + 30 =100. They have 0 degree scopes and 30 degree scopes. I am thinking that the 30 may be the one I am looking for. Please let me know. Ans I am a new subscriber and burgeoning locksmith.
