I have the tuna... and let me say.. it's my favorite knife so far. Even moreso than my smock. Smoothest knife I've handled with teflon washers. Doesn't even feel like it. Opens so smooth.

Ahh... if only the Tuna were a liner lock!
@Briandavidedc5 жыл бұрын
Lock isn't that hard to disengage on it. But why a liner lock? They are weaker in terms of strength than the frame lock.
@justinrowan40695 жыл бұрын
Brian David...I prefer the symmetry and feel of a knife with the same scales on each side. Considering many people have and do carry slip joints, I don't consider the argument of less strength in the liner lock design to be relevant.

The flash batch aspect makes it expensive to make the Bombshell. Not that many pieces to sell to make up for the tooling and development.

Absolutely nothing tickled my fancy! Maybe Kershaw, but seriously D2 why?!! Come on...

D2 is a perfectly good steel when the heat treatment is on point. If you've ever heard Tom Krein speak lovingly about D2 you'd wonder why is wife doesn't get jealous!
@Warlord20295 жыл бұрын
With all the available steels that we have now people are not looking for knives with D2! It’s more a budget better steel above stainless. M390 S 30v and S35 just to name a couple are much better stronger with edge retention. If people want D2 I’m not disrespecting them for it, but when we have better stronger steels with more upcoming D2 will not be used or in demand.
@knivesandtools5 жыл бұрын
If you want those steels, they got you covered with the Zero Tolerance brand. Kershaw is the more budget friendly option they offer :)
@justinrowan40695 жыл бұрын
Not everyone desires expensive super steels and are content with D2.
@bigg40895 жыл бұрын
For everyman edc D2 is perfectly acceptable. And now there are plenty of knives in the $50 - $100 range using it and selling loads, it proves the point. From D2 RAT2 which has been out for years to newer stuff like Civivi Elementum, D2 is popular, even if those with deeper pockets may prefer more exotic steels.
