I started noticing Mazdas a couple months ago because of a CX-30 and now I'm obsessed. This CX-5 is making me reconsider all my future purchases hahaha

Beside the beautiful design, Mazda has a top reliability and a very low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) - check statistics.

Absolutely no leg room in the back seats. Just looked at the 30 and the 5. Ended up with Volkswagen Tiguan SE. To me it drives better and a lot of room!
@codincoman901927 күн бұрын
@@christinaraymond884 There is enough leg room, especially in the CX-5. "Excellent" choice... VW is #27 in reliability, has a high TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) - double vs. Mazda, a champion of low TCO (and mostly in Top 3 in reliability). The most important indicators of a good car are the reliability and the TCO. Shallow criteria to purchase for the use of snowflakes: colour, electronic features, big screen, automatic transmission / CVT, preferably a BEV (electric clunker, unreliable, huge TCO, unsafe, plenty of electronics, huge screen, touch instead of physical buttons, controllable, impractical etc.).

We just bought a 24 model in Machine Gray. a couple of weeks ago. I'm kind of glad it doesn't have the cylinder deactivation and start/stop. I'll take the hit in fuel economy for better long term reliability.

I have the 2025 with deactivation but it doesn’t really turn on if you dont step on the brake too hard on a stop and also ther’s a button you can push if you don’t want the feature

If the turbo models didn't exist, I think I'd still get the Premium Plus trim over one of the turbo trims, but I personally love the Carbon Turbo & Signature trims. I wish you could get a lighter interior color in the Signature trim though. The Carbon Edition & the Premium Plus are the best trims before stepping up to one of the turbo trims

A few days ago I visited a Mazda dealership. The CX-5 Premium Plus is beautiful inside & out. You get a lot of car for the money. But it has a drawback: fuel economy. The 2024 models only get 23/29 mpg city/hwy driving. Since I do a lot of city driving I need better mpg. The 2025 model gets 26/30 mpg, but that's because of the i-stop and cylinder deactivation feature. I've been reading many complaints about this feature from CX-5 owners. You need to do research before you buy the 2025. If you are ok with 23 mpg in the city then consider the 2024 model. Right now Mazda is offering 0% interest financing and a $1000 bonus on 2024 models.

my wife and i are considering to bay the cx5 or cx50. Witch is a better chois? i like to hear the honest opinion, witch is a better vehicle
@CyrusTheGreat-b3kАй бұрын
I have cx-5 and had cx-50 for two weeks. Cx-5 is less pricey, 40-20-40 split seats allows to transport ski and rugs while having four passengers. Cx-50 has wide seats , light steering, more sportier than cx-5. I felt cx-50 preferred is adequate comparing cx-5 turbo! Cx-50 stock audio quality is on par with Bose! Try both, you can’t go wrong in either one of them!
@kenfrank2730Ай бұрын
Keep in mind that the CX-50 is larger and fuel economy is less. But the 2025 CX-50 will be available as a hybrid. They are expected to be on dealer lots before 2024 is over.

Can anyone detail what cylinder deactivation is - and why it’s a good and or bad thing to have?
@Jamarkus_Delvonte18 күн бұрын
When the engine stops at a red light, you won't have the oil pump pumping oil to cool and lubricate the engine causing more wear and tear.
@seikibrian864115 күн бұрын
Cylinder deactivation cuts the fuel and spark to one cylinder when, for example, cruising at a constant speed on level ground. In essence, you drop from a four-cylinder engine to a three-cylinder engine, saving fuel, but the full four cylinders are available when more power is needed, unlike a true three-cylinder engine.

@@JSS True. But if the vehicle is advertised as having "navigation" SD card should be included. They shouldn't have left it out forcing customers to buy it, or use their phones in its place. What's next, leaving radio out and assuming customers will use their own.
