I own this car and absolutely love it. It would be hard to know every car inside and out but there was a lot that the two gentlemen didn’t know about the car. Would be interesting to hear their take after several weeks of driving and getting to know it fully. The sound system is an ELS Studio system btw...just thought of that.

I have only owned Honda/ Acura vehicles, my current car is a 2022 MDX and I have not one single complain about it. Power is there, not sure how much more power you need but for what the car is meant to be is has plenty of power. Performance is amazing on this car.

Great review. You covered many cons of this car that many other reviews did not. The piano black trims, low speed road noise and cheap headliners were almost deal breakers for me. However, I still ordered one due to its outstanding handling, wireless car play, standard panoramic roof, and great looks.

I’d say it definitely feels like a luxury vehicle. Just a sport and performance focused luxury vehicle. Acura is not going for plushness like a Mercedes and never has been. They focus more on being sporty and driver focused. Much like Volvo vs Audi or BMW vs Genesis. Acura, Audi, and BMW are performance and sport focused luxury brands not plush focused ones. Even Lexus is focused on being plush and isn’t as nice as Acura’s are now.

I think it says something good about the handling that he called it a Mazda MDX at the end of the video. (I got my dad to buy an MDX when it first came out in 2001-also the year I got my license)

Thanks for the tip for individual mode. Engine in sport and everything else comfort. Will give it a spin. I have it all sport right now. So I can just hit the A in the knob For quick passing etc.

@@ShakerCherukuri Yes to me it is, I think the car does inner tire braking and vectoring while in comfort, the slightest turn of the wheel and the car is moving with Purpose in that direction. In sport I feel the steering gets harder to turn and tighter. I understand the road feedback people look for. In my mind with variable steering it should be the opposite.

This is a luxury vehicle. I think all Japanese luxury vehicles can be considered practical. German luxury is nicer but maintenance and cost makes it not very family friendly. I would consider the top of the line Pilot or Highlander as premium.

62000 dollars gets you also a KIA EV6 GT in Q3 of 2022, a torque monster which is (nearly) twice as fast as the MDX.

If power is your main reason for buying an SUV, KIA is not the answer. In fact, my Tesla model Y performance costs less than that lol.

No touch screen is a deal breaker. Wayy too many gears. 8 speed Lexus and Genesis much better, get touch screen infotainment with them too.
