Thank you for this great detailed video. I've watched many good videos which people show how great this camera or another, but you introduced a few other models (not only the popular ones) and explained the various differences. One question comes to mind is: Can the Yi 360 App be downloaded and used to erase unwanted part from a different 360 camera or only can be used with the Yi 360 camera? Just in case you have an idea. Thanks again and continue the great video work!

Thanks Leane! The Yi 360 app can't work with other cameras, but for Ricoh Theta, there is an app that can also erase people called Vanish360. I think there is also a plugin for Ricoh Theta V and Z1 that can do it.

is there no software that let you shoot around hands free in burst mode with a regular camera (no mems sensors) and regular lens (no fisheye) and if you provide enough snapshots with enough overlay it can rebuild the 360 photo ? i remener the microsoft software that took photos even from different camera and build a textured 3d model of the area ( if they can rebuild a 3d model i guess we can rebuild a more simple 360 texture on a sphere)
@360vroomers5 жыл бұрын
Yes Google camera app can do that. Also panorama 360 can do it too
@amanieux5 жыл бұрын
@@360vroomers google camera app can only run on smartphone as it uses the mems sensor for positioning the shots during the acquisition process i was more thinking of the panorama feature(i believe it is a feature in photoshop ) that just takes a bunch of photos from a regular camera (without any mems sensor data in the photos exif data) in random order and automatically stitches a cylindrical panorama, so i guess it must be doable for a spherical 360 photo.if such a software exist then using a entry level $500 apsc camera will give you much better quality than any 360 camera without adding too much time to the acquisition process (close to the time of a pano head process but without having to buy the expensive pano head or expensive fisheye lenses) if you wiggle enough by a few inches on the sides it may even have enough data for stereo 360 photo reconstruction, can the cupix software you mentioned do that ? have you tried MS ICE ? www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/product/computational-photography-applications/image-composite-editor/

I've been a Mac person since 2007 but before that I used to have an HP, Toshiba and Dell... I guess I can be ambidexter with what type of computer I use. Would want a laptop capable of high resolution stitching (i.e. GoPro & PanoHero setup) and 4k video at the least where it doesn't lag, hangup or need constant rebooting. Just wouldn't know the specs for what I need. Others have recommended I look into the same specs as gaming systems. Whatcha think?

JustWander Maya hi Maya. To be reasonably future proof while still having a reasonable budget, i suggest at least i5-4590, at least 8gb ram, at least gtx 1050 ti 4gb, and a large hdd. You can get this for $400 partly used. 360rumors.com/2017/03/400-vr-capable-oculus-ready-pc-nvidia-gtx-1050-ti-4gb-card.html I hope that helps.

Mic, whats the workflow if i want to make a virtual tour with cupix by using 360 photo's made with the vrkit and my Samsung s8? Do i first have to make individual 360 photo's before uploading them to cupix? Does the vrkit app automatically make the 360 photo's and store it on my phone or are the photo's only stored online?
@360vroomers6 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris! For thevrkit, it will stitch the photos automatically within the app. Then you upload the stitched photos to Cupix. But tbh, you will get better image quality from a Samsung Gear 360 which is around the same price: amzn.to/2sRrMTV or even the 2017 gear 360, which is also very inexpensive amzn.to/2JDSJEN. Both work with Street View, so they can take 360 photos with almost any phone as long as you have the street view app.
@ChristiaanRoest796 жыл бұрын
360Rumors.com ok, in that case i can better use my gopro fusion. I bought thevrkit because of the high resolution :( I thought the quality in this setting is better than from regular 360 cams. I dont like to put the gopro fusion on the manfrotto selfystick and monopod (tripod) that Ben uses because its heavy and chances are it will fall especially outside.
@360vroomers6 жыл бұрын
Chris71319 i think Ben's mini tripod is too small. I would instead suggest a lightstand or maybe manfrotto nanopole 360rumors.com/2016/08/review-manfrotto-nanopole-excellen.html But yes fusion is one of the best for 360 photos for consumer 360 cameras. Best regards, Mic

Hi Eduardo! You can use any photo editor that can use layers, such as Photoshop or Affinity. In photoshop, you would use a layer mask. Use black to "erase" a layer, white to "paint" a layer. Hey thanx for all ur videos, i bought the xiaomi 360 following ur advice 2 monthes ago and im very happy with it, i was wondering if u think the yi will be really better justifying to pay more or not. I could need a second 360 cam maybe with hdr to avoid the white burn when u have windows in the shots so i wouldnt have to low the brightness. Or maybe i should take two different settings and combine them myself?
@360vroomers7 жыл бұрын
360 Projets salut! For photos, xiaomi is better than yi. Yes, to avoid blown highlights, use different exposures to create hdr effect. In the future, hdr will be built into the app. 😀

hi salut Mic "merci" (thx!) for ur reply. Do u mean that xiaomi is planning an update of their app with hdr in it? If so, do u know when (its impressive how they improved the app in the last monthes fixing some issues u were talkin about in ur previous vids)? Do u know what simple app i could use meanwhile to combine different exposures? if i recall, u said that the first samsung gear hdr effect wasnt really effective, does the 2017 version of the gear works better? some french 360 director said to me that the insta360 pro is the best cam ever, very impressive, well the cost is too but not that much compared to first pro cam generation, do u think the same? And to end this comment, i will add that i use kolor panotour pro for real estate 360 tour and it works fine for me. Keep up the good work! Loic

Hi 360 Projets. Yes Mi Sphere app will be updated to add HDR. It seems to be soon, although I don't have an exact date. There are many software for combining exposures into an HDR image. It can be done in Lightroom or Photoshop for example. Yes you're right about Gear 360. The original one had fake HDR. The 2017 has true multi-shot HDR. I love the Insta360 Pro. Here is my review: 360rumors.com/2017/07/best-worlds-insta360-pro-hands-real-world-review-part-1-sample-photos-videos.html Thanks for suggesting Panotour Pro! Best regards, Mic

I'd like to try 360 video and pictures for real estate without spending more than $400 for the camera. I also plan to use cupix and adobe lightroom for editing. At that price point it seems there is seems to be a toss up between the insta 360 one or the Ricoh Theta V which would you recommend?

Richard Lawson hi Richard! For that price i would recommend xiaomi. Many people have used it for real estate and have been pleased. 360rumors.com/2018/02/ultimate-xiaomi-mijia-mi-sphere-360-camera-faq-wiki-and-resource-page.html My second choice would be insta360 for the dng stitching convenience. Another great and informative video, thanks! I'm in to real estate and large stores 360 photography. I would like to step up my game and get a more professional camera. Had dealt with the Samsungs, Xiaomi, Ricohs ect. I definitely need more detail. Not interested in video, just photos, high megapixel/detail/sharp photos, like the samples that I've seen from Panono. Not having infinite money for the insta pro, or the Kandao, the Panono even at 1500 euros looks appealing. Would u recommend it, even with its peculiar workflow? Recently, I've read that the company filled for bankruptcy, they said ofc that support will continue, but I cannot trust fully such a statement and I don't want to waste my money. Lots of complaints from users about their servers being slow or with errors, during up/downloading. Finally, I've heard that you cannot batch upload. I really cannot decide. From your experience, would Panono be a good option, since u have this camera as well? In a few lines, how is it? Is it worth is in that price range? Should I wait for something else? Thanks in advance.
@360vroomers7 жыл бұрын
NEMESYS MORPHEUS hi Nemesys! Thanks for watching my video! Re Panono, I'm happy with the workflow. The biggest drawback for me is the minimum stitching distance of around 4 feet all around the cam. Re bankruptcy, I've interviewed the new owners and am confident that they've turned the company around. Also, it is possible to stitch offline with Panorama Studio 3 Pro. If you are still wary, you can use Panohero H5B or wait for NCTech Iris Pro. I dont know yet how Iris Pro compares to Panono. Btw pls join facebook.com/groups/virtualtournetwork Best regards, Mic
