I bought it, and however, since I got it, I haven't get the chance to hear music on the radio! Also, I called the company and they told me that I need to upgrade the software, and I have no idea how to do it. Is a very complicated head unit and YES I am frustrated!!!!!!!

I had the Sony you previously recommended, however I inadvertently shattered the screen forgetting I had a cast & botched an attempt to change the channel. Bought the Dasaita 11 & LOVE IT!!! Can’t get enough of the 10.25” screen, nearly instant CarPlay loading & overall quality!

My 2 cent on this unit: I've owned this unit since it came out in July 2020 and had own the T9 before and return it due to multiple issues and bugs with it. The Daisata unit has worked for me since day 1 with no issues. Everything works as it should and never had an issue with connecting or disconnecting with the hotspot or Apple carplay. I also agree with John that it's on the pricey side, but you get what you paid for.

I installed the Dasaita head unit in my new to me Limited. Android auto works wirelessly without issues and starts up automatically when I start the car. I have to say that it took some tweaking and figuring things out to make it work right. I personally like it more than the OEM unit, I am keeping it. If I had to do it all over again, I would still buy it and would recommend to friends and family.

Bought the Beats Sonic (he mentioned) and it was incredibly glitchy. Activating CarPlay would frequently mistakenly launch the rear camera view and then close and go back to AUX. Would have to drive for about five minutes before I could activate CarPlay and have it stay on. If you truly want CarPlay you also want to vary audio output between Navigation, Phone and Music (Beat Sonic, and this unit here being reviewed, linked them all which means volume jumps up/down as functions change) you also likely want vehicle integration which means ALL your buttons functioning and not just some and whenever they wish (I'm looking at you call answer and track up/down). Do yourself a favour and save the money on these and wait to afford a Kenwood or Pioneer unit with an idatalinkmaestro RR2 which will give you a MUCH better overall ownership experience. Day and Night difference. Trust me, you don't want frustrations in a vehicle that's travelling 70+ km/hr down the road.

The problem is none of these head units out there are compatible with XM Sat. They don’t have that functionality.

My 2019 Trd pro has TERRIBLE quality for Bluetooth when on the phone, did you notice a difference with the new unit? Like the person I’m calling can’t hear me very well and there’s an echo, and the audio quality on my end is poor also. That’s my biggest complaint for the factory unit but I’m nervous to upgrade

I always appreciate your flat out honest opinions in these reviews. For the price of the Dasaita I opted for the Halo 9 and although it's a little dated, it's an incredible HU for the price. I know some people don't like the hovering screen, but honestly to me it looks stock to me now. I never had any issues with my Entune HU either, just wanted Android Auto, but I totally agree that the Entune when it works is a great unit

@@TRDJon thanks for replying no I had gotten it from Amazon so I returned it right away I didn't want to mess around too much money to be playing around with at least for me ☺️ but I know that someone had told me something about a black wire that I had to do something with but I don't know for sure so I gave it 24 hours and returned it

Not worth it IMO. I used it for about a month, maybe two and it started to glitch, radio won’t stay on the presets and it didn’t remember my phone. I had to sync my phone to the car almost everyday. The cons definitely outweighed the pros. The good thing is amazon gave me a full refund for the unit and the extended warranty.

Dude, I just installed this in my 4runner yesterday. Was expecting to have to wire my Android phone but was shocked when Android auto ran over bluetooth! Still getting the sound tuned to my liking but am super happy with this head unit. Your videos were super helpful during the installation process. Thanks for the help!
