Smeedia did finish the project. Just turbs out the block doesn't like 50psi of boost

@@jredmartinz - Finished? Failed you mean, props for "having a go" but after the 3rd time it failed he should have probably researched a little more and copied a recipe from people who have been successful.

@@joshgellatly7704he would have been fine if he didn't push for dyno numbers. MLS headgaskets just can't handle the boost he tried to push. He definitely should have gone for the crush ring gaskets to push 50psi....

man that is such a cool car! I have a soft spot for gc8's, only second to the r32 gtr in my heart 😂 but it is so cool to see people pushing the gc8 platform and even cooler to see 6 cylinder builds all while still being the subaru platform. thank you HP Academy for covering this!

I admire the commitment to the Subaru parts bin. The question would be is a Porsche GT3 engine or the parts around it, such as Variocam being the next evolution. There are more Pork bits around too

I know of 4 running SVX's near me, one is manual swapped, 2 owned by one guy and two owned by another

My first car was a 95 SVX, bought it for $2300 in 2016 when i was 17. 175k miles and ran like a champ. Wish I could've kept it, but finding and paying rare tax on parts for that thing as a 17 year old just wasn't realistic, sold it to an older guy who I hope is loving it as much as I did. Made me the Subie man i am today, currently have a '17 WRX

We got a 3.6L H6 Boxer with dual AVCS in USDM Legacy/Outbacks and they’re plentiful here. What makes him use such a rare engine from the SVX instead?

@@blueridge8992 EZ36 is the worst H6 they made not including ea27 which I have no experience with. EZ30 is great and the EG33 is capable of making more power than the EZ30 but requires a lot more expertise
