Great video. We are a full-service yard that lists on a lot of these resources you mentioned, however, our website has a much better auto part search feature than some of the other major sites, and we are a high-volume yard, making our parts some of the lowest in the business. Thanks for showing the OEM-used auto part industry some love.

Certifit is another good site. eBay and Craigs work great too. Get vin number/ some sort of recipt from donor cars as long as they are not stolen. Sometimes receipts are only necessary on bigger panels such as bumpers/hoods/doors/ headlights. Save a ton of money by trying to find same color parts!!

Hey sam i have a question hopefully you can help me answer it. I'm looking on copart and i noticed they have clean title cars for sale. In my state i would have to get in contact with a broker to bid on the clean title cars. What I want to know is if I were to get the clean title from copart using a broker would I be able to register the car as if I bought a clean title car from Craigslist? I'm from Illinois and this would be my first time, just looking to have a project car to work on and keep it.
@Samcrac
@Samcrac 7 жыл бұрын
If it has a clean title, and if that is how it works in your state, then yes, you won't have to go through any special process. In FL, if it is NOT a Florida title you do have to show the odometer at the DMV, and if the car is severely damaged you may raise some eyes; I think there are affidavit forums that you can use if you can't bring the car in, and you are just confirming the odometer usually, but again it all depends on your state.

Bought a salvage Subaru BRZ out of Georgia, used car-part.com, myairbags.com, ebay, enthusiast forums, the dealer and local salvage yards to get it back together and titled in Florida. All in I spent $8,500 for a 2013 BRZ with 24k on it. Can't wait to do another. Full blog here: www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120916

The part i was interested in getting was a Grade A window cowl Turned out It was dry rotted ....no big deal As im walking out the door the clerk said “Hey hey we have another one in grade A condition can you hold on while he retrieves it “I said absolutely “ 5 min later guy radios down to the clerks desk ...go ahead and tell him this one is worse than the one that we packaged
