Cement is mixed in clay pots nowadays. Brace metal pots are to be nickel polished, steel pots are not sure of three layers coating 😊 😢 then what to do? You have given very good lecture and I have left using aluminium pots now, and using brace kadahi and steel bhagona and no cooker is used. Clay pots are good for dahi also.

I am using Rajesh brand stainless steel utensils. Brought from local shop. Doesn’t need much oil as they are thick. Using pan, kadhai n cooker. Posted if it helps you 😊

Mam stainless steel utensils are very heavy to use and clean.they use more oil and food easily sticks at bottom which is difficult to clean without causing scratches to surface which again leaches harmful chemicals in to food.

Use brass or bronze some time. Then you'll know what's heavy. Afterall, it's the health that matters, and weight is never the top priority for cookware.

Among stainless steel vessels if the corners getting crack, its not a good quality product. Mainly because it contain lower % of Cr and Ni. These products doesn't have the name of the menu feacturer embossed on the vessels. One should always see brands. An ideal % of Ni and Cr is 18 /8.This ratio is used for making surgical instruments.

What about Hindalium? Brass requires tinning which is not available nowadays. Earlier people used to come set up their furnace and tin brass utensils. So using brass utensils is not feasible

Being a Mettallurgy Engineer, I say that 18%Cr+8-10%Ni SS is non-magnetic. It is called Austenitic Stainless Steel & SS with Cr & Ni content less that specified is cheap & magnetic .It is called Ferritic Stainless Steel.
