In a 1986 auto crash, my forward motion was stopped by my right knee hitting the dash board. Shattered my acetabulum and subsequently lived 29 years with 9 pins and a plate holding my acc together. In 2015, exactly 29 years to the date of the crash, all the old hardware went away and a titanium and plastic hip went in. Lately though, it has been off. It wasn't until just now that I learned what to do. You have taught me how to walk all over again. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Side note: in the early 1970's my brother had both hips done at Los Angeles Children's Hospital. He lived until he was nearly 60 with them, suffering excruciating pain from having Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis for nearly his whole life. Too bad your videos weren't around then to help him.

My right hamstring has been hurting while I walk for a few weeks now and I have a long-term longer back issue which i've been trying to fix for about 10 years! Watched this video today and then spent some time teaching myself how to walk and run properly! Hamstring and Back are feeling better already and now i'm thinking about increased performance! Thx so much, Conor.

I found that I resolved my early knee extension issue by lowering my center of gravity when i run. Previously longer runs would cause lower back pain, and i was leaning forward too much over a longer period of time. Lowering my center of gravity allowed me to stay more upright, and put more strain on my quads, which took time to adjust, but my lower back pain went away. Your explanation here is very clear. Great video, thanks.

Notes for self - the ground reaction force needs to be behind the hip joint to drive you forward. Toe off needs to take place before the knee extension completes - so leg must travel under hip in a straight but not full straight postions. So knee extension completes as knee moves behind the leg.

I just want to say I did your breathing technique with all my exercises working on my straight back and it’s definitely been working. I’ve seen many types chiropractors not many talk about the breathing but doing how you say too alongside my prescribe exercises and traction also incorporating some of your exercises in videos helps a lot. I’ve see I’m getting more broader from expanding my ribs with the breathing on top of how you explain every single detail in your exercises is a game changer. Thanks Conor!

I found this video from your short. I think this is the reason for my lower back pain when walking. Lately I’ve been getting lower back pain especially while walking up hill but even on flat ground over long distances. I’m going to try this. Thank you!

See in your shorts version, you said leg behind. Here you say leg underneath. That made a difference in my understanding, saying underneath.

Hey Connor, i was wondering if its common to have snapping joints on the left side of the body(ankle, hips and shoulder) along with tightness. I really feel shifted to the right when im walking or sitting. Also when i try to shift to the left i just cant and get a hip snap). Greetings from Chile, i love your content.

How many months should I practice your rib flare exercises to fix it?

The best ever example of an athlete who did this was Dennis Rodman. Hands down best example ever. His legs literally ran in front of his body. It's the strangest thing to watch. Watch any of his tape. You can't miss it once it's pointed out. I used to think he was an alien when I was a kid watching him. It was reported that he used the stair master for an hour or more after his games

Hey, kinda desperate for any guidance, as is from watching alot of your videos, you obviously have a vast amount of knowledge! was sedetary for a long time, due to reasons that doesn't matter here, but anyway i was for a long time. After some time, my shoulders started to get really unstable, collapsing in certain positions. However now that i started to work out more, the left shoulder is suprisingly better. But, my right shoulder is so messed up, i got to a point where i could do 60kg millitary presses, yet if i extend my arm outwards, like what you do in a front raise my shoulder makes this crazy grinding sound and arm collapses. Really messed up sound.Almost as its something sliding on sandpaper, like two ends gnawing at eachother. If i take my hands over head like in a OHP, its fine, but if i put hands slightly above head in a OHP position, it happens too, but in this position it doesn't make the same sound. Wierd thing, is that its painless in the shoulder, but if do the front raise arm motion, it can become discomfortable, not during, but a while after, and this can be felt in the traps, and in the arm in general, even the elbow. My trap on this side becomes very stiff and sore. I have been to 2 ultrasounds, even while looking at my shoulder ball joint move on the ultrasound, and they don't find anything, and its driving me crazy. I haven't had any injuries so i have no idea. Like i said it was a issue in my left shoulder, but this suprinsingly is almost gone now. So basicly the closer my arms are together and i try to "front" raise, it makes this crazy sound, but if i do alittle bit more wide, the sound goes away. Im waiting for a MRI now, so just writing here, in hope that someone maybe has any tips? When i was at a physio long time ago he said it was weakness in the rotatur cuffs, but i didnt have this sound then (i think)! Just have to wait for the MRI as ultrasound has shown nothing but just normal shoulder structure, but kinda desperate for answers if anyone else has had the same thing, or knows about it. Sorry for the long text, kinda shot in the dark for me here.
