Franklin's and La Barbecue are my favorites. My family owns a vacation home behind Franklins since the 90s and we were ecstatic when Franklin's opened up. Some of my favorite childhood memories was going to Austin to eat BBQ (especially Franklin's). Parking sucks because everyone parks in front of our house, but parking in Austin in general sucks now. La Barbecue when it was a food truck was phenomenal. Best beef ribs I've ever had. My family went back this past summer before the school year started and the brick and mortar store was underwhelming.

Hahaha I remember when I came to Austin I just googled for best barbecue and Franklin's came up....I went there shortly before they closed and was shocked that I had to wait about 20 minutes. The other people laughed at me and told me that usually it's way longer. And yes, the food was pretty good, but I kinda expected more because there is such a hype about the place.
